I stopped midway season 4 😭 knowing that all my favorite characters are either going to die or leave, I just can't watch it anymore and the unrealistic death rate has really put me off 😥😥

Moon Hunter George’s death was harder because of the way it happened. Being hit by a bus unrecognizable a brutal way to die. What a tear jerker of an episode! It was great seeing all the flashbacks from all the years gone by. I have binge watched ALL the seasons from the start in the last year...I give thanks to rock star P!nk for being a fan of this show and Instagramming her watching/talking of Gray's Anatomy...I thought I'm gonna check this out...I was hooked immediately! I'm going to miss the character of Dr Alex Karev....I will continue watching Gray's Anatomy...I have to~I'm a fan! I wish Justin Chambers the very best.
Probably most of the fans will stop watching and the ratings are going to drop as the were either way going this way (I mean the show is not that interesting anymore). They should have stopped while their characters were good, now it's all about Owen's 100 kids...
I beg to differ. For a while there, the show was beginning to go into asystole, but as of circa 2 or 3 years ago the life has returned. I've been glued to it for some time now especially because the stories have been focusing more on the medical cases. I've also enjoyed some of the medical advances the hospital has introduced (minus the pressure chamber) these past few years. I was absolutely grieved when Derek was killed, but I soldiered on and was rewarded for it. Again, I don't think the show is just about Owen et tal.

It's been on for 17 seasons and had like 3 or 4 shifts in so many interesting beloved characters. I'm still waiting it til the end, an all long running start to duck. Modern Famikys sucked after Clare went to work or after season 5. Since season 5 I may have 3 Enjoyed 6 more shows. It took Alex leaving for me to say it's time fprbGreys to end. But how does this show end? Maybe in Richaed, Mer and Bailey retiring! Something happy happens and they are good to hang it all up. And almost every old character comes back. Even Derrick can just be a random dude that looks like Derrick. But sad everyone in Merideth class is dead
If Greys is on... I am watching... I have never missed a season, or an episode. I will cry when they leave but I will keep watching my Greys Anatomy. Richard is still there, Bailey is still there and so is Mer.

Yes. I will remain a fan even after Karev's departure. We survived Derrick's departure and I'm confident that Rhimes will come back strong and captivate our hearts again. However, I'd love to see a comeback episode with Cristina, Alex & Issy, Derrick, Lexie & McSteamy! Yaaay!
He aired left his last episode aired in November no one thought it would be his last episode but then the episode after they used the excuse that he was with his mom to try and find a way to write him off , the actor apparently went to rehab for depression

Yes I will dearly miss Alex and it made me so sad to see he was leaving he was one of my favorites. After all these years these are my weekly “ family”. If Justin Chambers wanted to leave the show, there was no better way for them to write him off than what they did. I was so worried when I realized he wasn't coming back, because Alex has grown (even though I personally liked Evil Spawn.) It was great to watch him grow. It's never great when someone decides to leave someone else, and I just don't see a scenario, short of death, which would have been unacceptable, for Alex to leave Jo, unless it was for Izz. Point being, Justin was ready to leave. Killing him would have been brutal. If you think about it, this shouldn't be a surprise. Since we've been locked up in our homes I watched again from basically the beginning and what I thought was confirmed. In the episode where Amelia and Owen get married, he eludes to the thought that Izzy may be his one true love. Then in the 300th episode with the doppelgangers he reveals he doesn't want to call and see how she's doing because he's made up a life for her, and she's happy, and that's how he wants her to stay. Lastly, letters are nice.
I think therez more to this “departure” than is being said... Justin left abruptly, no real closure for his character, they will write him off while he’s off camera... Don’t know but I think something tragic happened in his personal life that requires him to leave his work immediately... I can’t imagine why else he’d just leave just like that and announce it when Hez already left...
Yes, I agree, something is definitely wrong. Either behind-scenes drama, or something personal aka health or family. People say that he checked into mental health center for his sleep disorder... But he did it before, and they could give him a leave of absence to recover, I'm sure they can work around actors's issues...He could come back at least to end the season, or next season. So why quit/fire him. Something is off here. I think it's not about his sleep disorder...
Yeah it was like his story just abruptly stopped and next thing we knew he was gone. In the middle of the season too. Something had to have happened bc I can’t imagine he wouldn’t wait it out till the end of the season. It was clear it wasn’t part of the plan and it was handled horribly.
I most definitely will continue to watch Grey's. I must admit a tear shed from my eyes when I watched his farewell episode. However, the show must go on like it has many times before. At least there's still Meredith, Miranda and Richard. They are the glue that holds the show together.
Well, we now know that Izzy is absolutely NOT coming back... So... George is dead, Lexi is dead, Mark is dead, Derek is dead, Cristina is gone(presumably for good), Alex & Izzy are gone(definitely for good), Callie is gone, Arizona is gone... I have a bad feeling that Webber is on borrowed time, and if they put Bailey through much more, I think that Chandra Wilson could have legitimate grounds to sue for torture! ;-p

Great. Fantastic well deserved video dedicated to a great actor who played our favorite character for almost 16 years. Personally I never get why people say Alex has grown on them, he has been my fav since the first minute I saw him . This loss is definitely fatal. I hope they will lose viewers as there's not much a point to watch anymore. The show has been running beyond its peak and should have ended a long time ago. They better end it with its head held high while they still can because this loss takes the final fundamental factor of what makes GA what it is for so many fans.

once he announced he was leaving I made the conscious decision to never watch that show again... however I did watch how they sent off Alex this past Tuesday.. Next to Yang Alex Karev by far was my favorite and now that both yang and Karev is gone I have no more desire to watch that show anymore.. Ill stick to Grey Anatomy on Netflix when it was happier times and MAGIC was alive
Please don't cancel Grey's Anatomy. The writing and acting is excellent and I look forward to seeing it every Thursday. Just because actors leave doesn't mean the series is ruined. Life changes and so do shows. This is one of the best!
Alex has been my favorite and he will be missed. But just when I thought the show was over..( When April left), that whole season 14 was great! One of the best.. Maybe they can pull it out again!!

I hate when people leave a show it's like loosing a old friend. I love Alex character he's very compassionate about the babies and how they should be treated.
I don't understand how they're going to explain it in the show. Supposedly the court episode was his last one, and he won't be returning after the break. So he's chief of surgery at this new hospital where half the cast have decided to join him, his newly wed and previously sectioned somewhat unstable wife has stolen a baby, and he's just... not going to be there? Alex would never leave Jo, they're soulmates and loving her made him the man he is, so unless they're going to say he was at the bar Warren was in, or stood just outside it, and the car that came crashing through the wall killed him instead of Warren (who was obviously going to suffer in some way after that tragic news), I'm not sure how they're going to suddenly write him out of the story.
I love Grey's Anatomy. I have been watching from the beginning. Have not missed one. Alex leaving will not make the rating go down. The show is so exciting. The writers are great. My # one show.
Will not watch the show without Justin Chambers, he is my favorite actor in the show. He was the reason why I watched it, loved his role with the actress who plays Jo, and the growth of his character. :/

Incredibly sad, a slap in the face (to Bailey) and heartbreaking for Jo who trusted her marriage through her string of bad men and loss rewlating to Jo's mom.
I have to say when I started watching the series, I truly wasn’t sure about Karev I felt he was arrogant and self centered, but after all these years, he has truly grown on me and yes, I do love the show and will continue to watch it and hope it keeps getting renewed for many years to come, I love Grey and I hope they bring back Yang, especially with Karev gone ...
To me GA is like a Lay's Potato Chip....addicting as heck....I could watch this show and Blue Bloods over and over....matter of fact im bingeing 16 seasons again on Netflix...I really hope this show sticks around much longer....

Still wat hing and I love it. It's like life. People come and go. There are curveballs, fouls, & homeruns. Aside frim the Izzy crapola, the writing is amazing, and it's a great escape.

Damn. The best character that developed over time slowly and wonderful. So now it's back to Merideth without her intern friends from season 1. I'm ready to see what is the next steps for her life, or who now becomes the main character in the storyline.
The show was based on main character Meredith, but she was never my favorite and honestly was never the reason I watched the show, though I did love Derek. I watched from day one, and it was Izzy, George, Alex and Christina's characters that drew me in. Then when Sloan and Lexi showed up, I loved their characters. April's story was awesome. Webber, Baily, Cali and Arizona was interesting too. I always thought Meredith's character was filler and fluff but they couldn't get rid of her due to her being the main character. The new interns are horrible and I am not interested in them, except Deluca. I LOVE Amelia and Linc. Hunt's story line doesn't bring much to Grey's anymore either. Though I'm extremely heartbroken over Karevs departure and in a uncreative way, I'll probably watch until the end. I watch seasons 1-8 over and over on Netflix because, to me, they have the best characters and story lines. It's truly sad that Katherine Heigl didn't have the professionalism and groundedness, at that time, to see how lucky she was to have her part on Grey's. Her acting and story line was exceptional, to me. She was my ultimate favorite.

If Justin Chambers wanted to leave the show, there was no better way for them to write him off than what they did. I was so worried when I realized he wasn't coming back, because Alex has grown (even though I personally liked Evil Spawn.) It was great to watch him grow. It's never great when someone decides to leave someone else, and I just don't see a scenario, short of death, which would have been unacceptable, for Alex to leave Jo, unless it was for Izz. Point being, Justin was ready to leave. Killing him would have been brutal. If you think about it, this shouldn't be a surprise. Since we've been locked up in our homes I watched again from basically the beginning and what I thought was confirmed. In the episode where Amelia and Owen get married, he eludes to the thought that Izzy may be his one true love. Then in the 300th episode with the doppelgangers he reveals he doesn't want to call and see how she's doing because he's made up a life for her, and she's happy, and that's how he wants her to stay. Lastly, letters are nice.

I think therez more to this “departure” than is being said... Justin left abruptly, no real closure for his character, they will write him off while he’s off camera... Don’t know but I think something tragic happened in his personal life that requires him to leave his work immediately... I can’t imagine why else he’d just leave just like that and announce it when Hez already left...
Yes, I agree, something is definitely wrong. Either behind-scenes drama, or something personal aka health or family. People say that he checked into mental health center for his sleep disorder... But he did it before, and they could give him a leave of absence to recover, I'm sure they can work around actors's issues...He could come back at least to end the season, or next season. So why quit/fire him. Something is off here. I think it's not about his sleep disorder...

Yeah it was like his story just abruptly stopped and next thing we knew he was gone. In the middle of the season too. Something had to have happened bc I can’t imagine he wouldn’t wait it out till the end of the season. It was clear it wasn’t part of the plan and it was handled horribly.

I most definitely will continue to watch Grey's. I must admit a tear shed from my eyes when I watched his farewell episode. However, the show must go on like it has many times before. At least there's still Meredith, Miranda and Richard. They are the glue that holds the show together.

Well, we now know that Izzy is absolutely NOT coming back... So... George is dead, Lexi is dead, Mark is dead, Derek is dead, Cristina is gone(presumably for good), Alex & Izzy are gone(definitely for good), Callie is gone, Arizona is gone... I have a bad feeling that Webber is on borrowed time, and if they put Bailey through much more, I think that Chandra Wilson could have legitimate grounds to sue for torture! ;-p

Great. Fantastic well deserved video dedicated to a great actor who played our favorite character for almost 16 years. Personally I never get why people say Alex has grown on them, he has been my fav since the first minute I saw him . This loss is definitely fatal. I hope they will lose viewers as there's not much a point to watch anymore. The show has been running beyond its peak and should have ended a long time ago. They better end it with its head held high while they still can because this loss takes the final fundamental factor of what makes GA what it is for so many fans.
I'm sad to see him go but we've seen sooooo many go that I'm sure we'll all get through this one also. I'll keep watching. As my husband always tells me as I'm bawling my eyes out over a show, "it's just a show, it's not real life, at the end of the day they all go home."
once he announced he was leaving I made the conscious decision to never watch that show again... however I did watch how they sent off Alex this past Tuesday.. Next to Yang Alex Karev by far was my favorite and now that both yang and Karev is gone I have no more desire to watch that show anymore.. Ill stick to Grey Anatomy on Netflix when it was happier times and MAGIC was alive

Please don't cancel Grey's Anatomy. The writing and acting is excellent and I look forward to seeing it every Thursday. Just because actors leave doesn't mean the series is ruined. Life changes and so do shows. This is one of the best!
Alex has been my favorite and he will be missed. But just when I thought the show was over..( When April left), that whole season 14 was great! One of the best.. Maybe they can pull it out again!!

I hate when people leave a show it's like loosing a old friend. I love Alex character he's very compassionate about the babies and how they should be treated.
I don't understand how they're going to explain it in the show. Supposedly the court episode was his last one, and he won't be returning after the break. So he's chief of surgery at this new hospital where half the cast have decided to join him, his newly wed and previously sectioned somewhat unstable wife has stolen a baby, and he's just... not going to be there? Alex would never leave Jo, they're soulmates and loving her made him the man he is, so unless they're going to say he was at the bar Warren was in, or stood just outside it, and the car that came crashing through the wall killed him instead of Warren (who was obviously going to suffer in some way after that tragic news), I'm not sure how they're going to suddenly write him out of the story.

I love Grey's Anatomy. I have been watching from the beginning. Have not missed one. Alex leaving will not make the rating go down. The show is so exciting. The writers are great. My # one show.
Will not watch the show without Justin Chambers, he is my favorite actor in the show. He was the reason why I watched it, loved his role with the actress who plays Jo, and the growth of his character. :/

I really wish Justin had played out the rest of the season. Incredibly sad, a slap in the face (to Bailey) and heartbreaking for Jo who trusted her marriage through her string of bad men and loss rewlating to Jo's mom.

I have to say when I started watching the series, I truly wasn’t sure about Karev I felt he was arrogant and self centered, but after all these years, he has truly grown on me and yes, I do love the show and will continue to watch it and hope it keeps getting renewed for many years to come, I love Grey and I hope they bring back Yang, especially with Karev gone

Still wat hing and I love it. It's like life. People come and go. There are curveballs, fouls, & homeruns. Aside frim the Izzy crapola, the writing is amazing, and it's a great escape.
He will be missed and it will be interesting how much longer it will last.

Damn. The best character that developed over time slowly and wonderful. So now it's back to Merideth without her intern friends from season 1. I'm ready to see what is the next steps for her life, or who now becomes the main character in the storyline.
The show was based on main character Meredith, but she was never my favorite and honestly was never the reason I watched the show, though I did love Derek. I watched from day one, and it was Izzy, George, Alex and Christina's characters that drew me in. Then when Sloan and Lexi showed up, I loved their characters. April's story was awesome. Webber, Baily, Cali and Arizona was interesting too. I always thought Meredith's character was filler and fluff but they couldn't get rid of her due to her being the main character. The new interns are horrible and I am not interested in them, except Deluca. I LOVE Amelia and Linc. Hunt's story line doesn't bring much to Grey's anymore either. Though I'm extremely heartbroken over Karevs departure and in a uncreative way, I'll probably watch until the end. I watch seasons 1-8 over and over on Netflix because, to me, they have the best characters and story lines. It's truly sad that Katherine Heigl didn't have the professionalism and groundedness, at that time, to see how lucky she was to have her part on Grey's. Her acting and story line was exceptional, to me. She was my ultimate favorite.
Tina Dennler I hear you!!! I have the first 8 seasons on DVD & have re-watched them over & over... I can't even count how many times anymore! Those were the best! It's gone down hill from there & it isn't even interesting anymore...boring!!! I'm really losing interest & I may not watch this entire season... it's That Bad!!!🤷🏻♀️
