Thank you so much. I have made some critical mistakes in navigating the workplace politics because I don’t regulate my own impulsiveness. I have been more of reactive, rather than becoming a future scout. Great lesson, sir.

Everyone agrees that gossip by itself is not a good thing. Nevertheless, it will happen. I have always tried to follow three simple rules. Never be negative. Never judge. And always look for a positive.

Regulate impulse behavior (aka EQ) is important. One thing I gained from corporate life BS was to develop self-restraint.

Good point! Tough to learn. I have to remind myself -- the first thing that comes to mind to say -- don't!

Dear Colin, thank you so much for this video. I really appreciate these six points.
One thing I find a bit hard is to think about the implications before responding in a very dynamic environment, or in the middle of the process when you need to quickly analyse an respond. How a political savvy person must be ready for this?
    Your answer is very valuable.

Thanks for asking! (Sorry I missed your comment...). One answer is: buy time. You can buy time by asking questions of clarification, re-stating the query (and asking if you got it right), or even ask for a few minutes to organize a helpful response. Does that address what you are talking about?
