Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

Finally rained here in ms. Just a montH and half late all dry land is toast we watered all summer
What do people think about the rain, sounds like everyone wants to see it
It’s going to cool off here starting Friday can’t wait, it’s been 100 plus here
Happy early Birthday to you mom
I think it’s time for a drone to use for checking on the rain machine. Would be much easier.
Good morning
Can you have the rain water a couple passes twice? Not back to back but maybe 2-3 days later when it’s making the run back to the other side of your stand pipe? Might be a good spot to plan on your 300+ yield entry next year.
Good video
Thanks for the video
Since the shop is getting so cleaned up, any plans for opening up the back half for shop expansion? I know you have discussed it before but tabled it.
Will you plant and run the rain on the same wheel tracks every year?
Combining corn here the trucks can't keep up
These really "Hot" days are hard to find something to do. Are you worried about your dad cutting those trees down by himself and nobody there encase he gets in trouble.
We are dry here in Southwestern Ontario as well. Been 14+ days without anything significant.
I think with the heat you should be helping your dad
Just wondering if next year when you plant that Field back to Corn will you not plant the section that the Rain turns in to help prevent those down tubes from getting caught up on the stalks just curious
No I will but I'm probably going to put some rows in different directions to help.
Just wondering if you’re worried about compaction with the 360 rain?
Not really
5:29 after the ''flags are really a flyin!!!'' comment, that cloud is droppin to the ground... well mean nasty cloud right there in the next camera view!!! WOAH... were the sirens hallering??? (twisting air curcles in da sky/ground???)

another farmer family made a ''GARDEN'' put a patch of pumpkins in and then when faced with their THOUSANDS OF PUMPKINS, they invited their local church kids to come and select a pumpkin for halloween... ;) just a thought/idea....
You could go back and help your Dad
