    Note: it is for sure a very tricky donuts to make and if you have made it before, you will know what I mean. And if it is your first time, it will take you a few times to get use to the whole process. please watch the video closely, it can help you how to make really good Chinese Long Donuts. Every little detail in the video is very important. if you need to go over the video again please do so.
    Instruction: Take the dough out from the refrigerator and leave it to get to room temperature and it usually take 2 hours. if the country that you live in is warmer, it may not take that long.
    After you get the dough to room temperature, you DO NOT need to knead the dough again. you can go straight to shaping and cutting into strips right away. Just like shown in the video.
    After you take it out from the refrigerator, the dough is more firm but once it get into room temperature, the dough will be softer just like the in the video.
    You can take it out from the bag, and put some all purpose loss flour on the board so it will help to get harder, and the dough will be not too soft. it will be easier to flatten and cut the dough like shown in the video.
    Thanking you so much for watching my video and i hope this video will help you to make the perfect Chinese Long Donuts at home.

      Cooking With LY Hi bong! During the time we leave the dough to room temperature do we need to knead or just leave it?

    • @LifeWithLY
      @LifeWithLY  4 года назад +1

      Hi Oun or Bong, 😊 while you are waiting for it to get to room temperature, you can just leave it, no need to do anything else. You will go straight to shaping and flattening then when the dough comes to room temperature. If it is your first please read the above details, it will help you understand the process a bit better. Making it for the first time, can be very tricky. Have fun oun or bong! ❤️

    I thought normally making all this doughnut, must put outside to rise, I didn’t know can put in the fridge. Thks for your recipe.

    • @LifeWithLY
      @LifeWithLY  4 года назад

      Wendy Tay in this recipe doesn’t have yeast so it doesn’t have to be outside to rise. It doesn’t require much time to knead the dough either.
      Chinese long donuts texture should not be bread like, it should be hollow inside and a bit chewy. So using yeast to let it rise will not be the original recipe.
      Since we are using baking powder it is okay to let it set in the refrigerator. Yes it is very different from all the other method but this method works every time.
      Once you done combined all the ingredients together, you can set in the refrigerator with no stress to knead the dough again.
      I like this method because you can leave it in the refrigerator more than 24hrs up to 5days. You can just take out only the amount that you want to fry each time and save the rest for whenever you want to make them. 😊
