@@davidjellis or maybe the striking train was not locked at the bit where it knows what hour to strike like when the lever lifts up and then makes the mechanism strike the hour bell maybe it was an hour to early so maybe it chimed 9pm because of that
we live in Leeds, and the clock is wonderful, just been to Germany and saw nearly the same thing.
