- Trailing 14-2 with 2:22 left in the 4th quarter, the Bulls make a miraculous comeback to defeat the Generals and advance to the State Championship game.
I played against both teams when I was at Miami Beach and they were both dominant. The best game I’ve ever watched. RIP Cyril Jones #3 MJG T4L
I was 9 years old and at the game. I remember leaving with like 2 minutes left because my dad thought the game was over when jackson started kneeling. We were really surprised when we got home and seen that Northwestern won.

Went to Miami Beach with Arthur Stewart aka Kino... I'm glad he thrived at Jackson, this is the BEST high school game I've ever witnessed... I was sitting there thinking, "Dang Jackson is going to finally do it"... But the football Gods intervened, Jackson shouldn't have kneeled with over two minutes left... Should've kept running the ball but they got antsy, never seen a team so dejected afterwards... Biggest sports fail in high school football history, h*ll of a game winning catch by Antonio Bryant... I think this is when they took up all our time for half time .. and we couldn't perform
I was there and the band did perform, I remember they opened up with the Ruff Ryders’ song “Stop, Drop, Shut’em down open up Shop”. I was in band in 1995 and Jackson’s band took up more than their allotted time and then we marched them off the field.... There were some fights on the field and we had a lot people with broken instruments and busted lips. Crazy times then but oh the memories of the Old Soul Bowls. SIDENOTE: that same year we played Carol City at the Orange Bowl in the Semifinals and they did the same exact thing. But our band director (Mr. Pinder) ran and told us not to march on the field because we were about to march them off the field to. LOL!!

25yrs later watching this game. Take away that slant for a touchdown and Jackson had 1 first down the entire 1st half. That was because of a facemask penalty
