Talakai is an interesting choice. Apart from one game when he rampaged he has done 3/5 of 5/8 of eff all since. Although he is powerful he is actually slow and you only need to slow hinm down a bit for the next tackler to arrived and he will be nullified. That happened to him in later games. It stonkered me that Freddy put Sims in ahead of Jake in the first game. Api is a good choice.
Talaki will be fine. He is not slow at all. He is one of the fastest forwards in the game. Clearly you've never watched him live. He flies past some of the quickest centers in the game too.

actually they say by times hes one of the if not the fastest and most agile forward in game hence the reason he can play centre easily,you do realise hes playing in the forwards hey?pretty ordinary side though on paper ,only starting with one battering ram ,and basically a tiny starting forward pack ,prob one of the worst nsw teams of last 5 years

@@TheBlackguard That's a uninformed statement about Greenie. The real reason is he wanted to get back to NRL coaching. Green said he could not provide the QRL the required "certainty" around the job going forward as he remains interested in returning to the NRL coaching fold should an opportunity open up.
"After much consultation and discussion post the Origin series, both the QRL and I have decided to move in different directions," Green said.

Crichton is less injury prone, and a better tackler and more of a kicking threat. Also, panthers combinations.

Kotoni has made defence his focus, he is k.i.l.l.i.n.g it in defence - also they have the same missed tackles this yr (Crichton actually 1 more). Also I would disagree that Kotoni is injury prone, he corked his shoulder in game one and had an ACL last yr...thats it really.... I do agree with the Penrith combination but personally I would think that is more of a tie breaker than a serious consideration. Didn't know Crichton could kick but you already have Burton and Cleary....would be surprised if Crichton kicks at all during the game but guess we'll see...

For the amount of time played in game one, Crichton had a higher tackle percentage. I’m not by any means saying that I don’t think Staggs is a gun. Because he absolutely is. But so is Critta.
And yeah he kicks goals like he was born in a lab to do it. More weapons the better.
They’ll probably use this series to audition Staggs and Critta for who gets the spot in the third game.

Obviously Freddy had to pick an average team for game one to let QLD win , in order to get the percentages up for viewing because since 2019 it’s dropped nearly 25% . QLD has no depth on there bench like NSW does , I’m not knocking QLD at all I’m just saying its highly unlikely NSW will lose this game with this lineup . So it will be 1/1 next Sunday making the last game a huge build up for Suncorp stadium…. Either or I love origin !! Best rugby league in the world . 👌👌👌

@@skullcrusher567 Please...Name the side stacked with Queenslanders? Those sides had 1 or 2 imports at a time. Far less than QRL Origin sides known to have 8+ imports. Two imports will always be more legit than 8+.
Don't try to blame NSW for looking after the game and making it an attractive place to play. Just because QRL and the QLD government failed to support the game is irrelevant. Anyway regardless of what you or i think it's in the record books. Same as QLD sides with 8+ imports and Barry Gomersall are in the record books.

Best it has look been forgotten that these games where also the trial for the Australian team. But to many 100% true Australian players miss out because of the ARL not setting the rules in place
