Thanks a ton bro, it was of a great help. I made a pack file with like 21 expansion packs, and installed it on my keyboard. In brief, the steps are: 1) Attach a pen drive to SX900, export instrument info from the expansion menu 2) Download the packs you want to install on your laptop from the Yamaha website 3) Import instrument info into the Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM) software on your laptop, you will see SX 900 once done. 4) Import all the downloaded packs from your laptop into the SX900 that you see on the YEM software 5) Finally, export the pack file onto your pen drive from the YEM software 6) Attach the pen drive to the SX900, and import the pack file into the SX900 from the expansion menu and you are done

Hello. Is there any way to install a sx900 pack to the new sx920. I tried already in YEM and it doesn't even let me import the sx900 pack. "The pack is not imported because there is no instrument capable using this pack". Thank you!
@@studioremi-theunpluggedroom Yes... You can install multiple files at a time... Do not install one by one... Coz when you install a new pack, the previous file automatically replaced or get deleted from the keyboard

Follow the Video steps Carefully.. Other than that, please check your instrument updated Firmware.. update the same once. 2nd Are you formating Pendrive from Laptop/ PC or from Instrument... I recommend formatting the pendrive from the Instrument.. then try again..

You can use Multiple Expansion Packs on your keyboard... You just need to Install them all at a time... Sab expansions ek sath Load karni Hai... ek Ek karke nahi Hoga... coz when you Install one pack; previous packs automatically get deleted...

I don't think this kind of log in asked by that software.... Have you export expansion information from the keyboard before importing the Packs in the software.? Or Try to Reinstall the Expansion Manager software. Also check firmware update for the keyboard once. Follow the steps carefully shown in the video..
Apka Purpose kya hai wo pehele socho... The Yamaha SX series is a semi professional Keyboard... And Roland Fantom is a Highly Professional Board... If you want to do Shows Concerts on a bigger scale then Go for Roland Fantom.. Costs Rs. 1.5 Lack approx otherwise go for the SX series... Roland XPS30 is a good option for the SX series if we compare the Price point...

Yes... If you install any packs previous data will get deleted or you can say it Over right the data.. You have to Take backup first and install Packages with that data... I also got that idea after the making of Video.. otherwise I would have mentioned it in the video...

Same as SX 900 shown in the Video.. Plug your USB to the Keyboard.. Go to Menu (Page 2) Then go to Expansion Click on Export Instrument Info. Then Click Ok. Then Instrument Info File will get created in USB..

Sorry for the late revert... Pavan Sir Make sure you have Tick ✓ or Untick the Items when you convert your Expansion pack in to CPI files... Sometimes it auto selects the Sounds and Rhythms while you export the Packs into the Expansion Manager... Cross verify before converting them...

There is no Option right now for the same.. whenever we Add more expansion Old one will get Deleted... What we need to do is Whenever we Ad New we must add With the Old one.. CPI is the file format which can be read by the Instrument (OS) That's why we need to convert through 'Expansion Manager' Follow the detail procedure... Or Update the Instrument OS once (check firmware update) Now it's 1.11 I guess
I'm have the same issue as instrument says file can't be installed. I followed your steps step by step. I'm converting it to CPI through "Expansion Manager" like you did but still not working. @@Shadjapanchammusiic I fixed the issue. Now the other issue is SX900 can install only 1 package. When you want to install another package the instrument will automatically delete the old package. How can you save packages in your user instead of expansion memory?

Yes... pre-installed Expansion data will be deleted... Not Presets.. But that Pre Installed Expansion Data is also available on the Yamaha Expansion Pack.. you can Copy the same and re install with the your Expansion... Simple

No... 700 drivers are different... The system won't support drivers from 900... Settings are the same.. make your own Sounds following the videos ..

No... You need to run Expansion Manager to Change format for keyboard... You can not do it in Android..
