- Note: Apologies about the sudden turnaround towards the middle of the video due to the high-idling issue the car developed while I was filming. Hopefully I'll get a better review of an ML sometime in the future.

I have this car and mine has done 410,000 KMs 😬 they are great cars! Mine is still going strong. It does have a hole in the vacuum hose, but I'm hoping that won't be too difficult to fix 🤞🤞
The Black Death has struck... Injectors have come loose, often also kill the wiring loom. Needs a lot of cleaning, seats recut and new washers with new bolts too if your lucky. Oven cleaner is good for getting through all the black gunk...
Man, that is a great car. I am sure this model has at least 350 000 km. That sympthoms with engine little problem are probably caused by injectors disfunction.
Good review.
This particular one had 278k kms on it when I filmed it. My friend told me, however that the issue probably comes from the fact that there wasn't enough oil in the engine. And when that's the case, the engine idles high to prevent it from seizing. But yes, the is a nice car and thanks for your support!
Nice and detailed review, good job!
Just needs to good run on the Highway. Add a small amount of Transmission fluid to the diesel and run the vehicle with heavy kick downs on the accelerator. One of the fuel injectors is just sticking and you'll be able to clear that in no time.
It's fixed at this point. The owner of the car took it to his mechanic. I don't know if that was the issue or not, but at least it's up and running good again :)
I have one like this! God bless it!
Great review!
278k km is nothing man. And definitively nothing for the diesel OM612. Our w210 E270 CDI lasted 970k km without opening the engine.
The metal gasket on one of your injectors is broken and lets smoke trough, please replace theme as soon as possible
This is not my car, and I don't know if that was the actual problem, but it's fixed by now
What was the cause of the high rpm was it the high pressure pump at fault ?? Great video.
I'm not a mechanic and don't know for sure, but it was most likely from the car being low on oil. Low oil will cause the engine to idle extremely high so the engine doesn't seize up.
Hi ,these are awsome trucks and if looked after properly will last forever, yours definitely has a leaky injector seal, probably on cylinder number 1, remove the engine cover and have a look, can be an easy repair if caught early, more difficult if left too long though. good luck !
Thanks for your support but this is not my car
Wow! My very first time to see this Mercedes with manual transmission. I never thought there is any in the world!I own a petrol automatic trans 2004 ML 500 here in Canada. Which country is this MB in?
France
Diesel 2,7 W163 have a manual transmission and automatic. 2.3 pre restyling gasoline cars have only manual.
Hello I have the same car Mercedes ML 270 My battery died and the lock won't open the car How can I open it without a key
This is really detailed
Good video. Where are u located ?
Thank you! The video was filmed in France but I live in Germany
Have you considered a horn review on your vehicles that you review?
I usually honk the horn on all cars that I review, but just not this one because other people were outside while I was filming and I didn't want to scare them
oh and for my parents 2001 ml 320
the radio can be turned on while the key is not in the ignition is that normal or not??
That is normal for most older cars, but you can't do that on modern cars. Since most of them have smart key access systems, you can't do anything unless the key is with you
for my moms old ml 320 2001 the key did not have to be in the ignition for the radio to be on
That's probably the case in many cars from back then
How can I open the bonnet
It is just an acceleration cable you put some oil on it and it becomes fine. it always happens to old cars or else you replace the acceleration(gas) cable
*suv
Maybe it has low compression.. that's the reason you see blowby gasses.. anyway good review.. 👍👍
Thanks for support
@@lukasautomotiveawesomeness1536 no problem...
Maybe black death, failed injector seals, hopefully you caught it before its to late.
Who said I blamed you, ..... JUST KIDDING but nice content !
Just kidding haha
Danke
It’s an excellent car, why the hell do you blame it? Did another company pay you for that? This type has the best engine Mercedes has ever produced.
I never said that the car was bad, it probably just wasn't well taken care of and developed an issue as a result. I do really like this generation ML and do think they are generally good cars. I never got paid to say things like that and this is also not my car.
"...why the hell do you blame it? Did another company pay you for that?" haha hilarious
👍🏻
i find it weird how a a 2700 kilogram car only has 163 horsepower like what the fuck the engine is to weak for the weight of the car...
Liebe Grüße aus Österreich
how much did you pay for it, like 1500-2ke max ? :-) well, you'll add 1K for reparations, and it'll be ok for another year
This isn't my car
Haw much
The car isn't for sale
to me the 270 makes no sence at all it has a freaking 2.7 l engine that only makes 161 horsepower
and is almost 6000 fucking pounds.... and it goes 180 kmh
Shut the fuck up it has 370-400nm to compensate
Very bad shape
Yeah it's not in the best of shape, but I'm sure there are some that are worse than this one
Lukas Automotive Awesomeness yes for sure
