I love the ninja turtles. Favorite action figures/cartoon of all time, but this is pretty gay. Not quite He-Man gay (totally homo erotic cartoon ever) but pretty gay. I loved them as a kid, but I think even as a kid I would have been like "WTF Ninja Turtles don't hang out with alligators or rollerskating construction workers" and what the hell was up with shredder's costume? They make that out of some aluminum cans 5 minutes before the show started?
LOL! I just noticed. I think hey blend element of pop back then with punk. Dunno if that style would look good on a Human but it works for the Turtles.
One minute they're singing "I'm coming out, I'm coming out", then it's all 'Be straight'. Talk about mixed messages. I think the Turtles need to just come to terms with themselves.

A 'hollow' would be the tube a larger wave can form when it starts to break - it's often considered the ultimate thing to surf through, and is very stereotypically shown in almost anything involving surfing it seems. Yeah. This show reeks of the positive impact the Turtles had on kids back then. It's really sad that it's light years away from the same glory today, thanks to the new uninspired Turtles.
Maybe someone was drunk. Maybe someone wanted to create the world's most bizarre Ad Libs. But whatever the reason, someone, somewhere, thought it would be a good idea to put the Ninja Turtles on stage with a couple of hula dancing alligators. Remarkably, this is NOT what killed the franchise.
You know what, this isn't as bad as the reviewers say it is! It's cheesy and the music is pretty vapid, but I was 7 when this came out. I would have loved it.
