But people are paying taxes indirectly on fuel n bribe more than required. Let every govt servant work 2 hours a day seriously so that no pending work will be there. Now what happens is if you go to govt office for any certificate they take weeks to months which can be completed in day's time.. There is no seriousness n responsibility in govt offices except in 5 to 10 percent of the people..

So that, there will not be much difference in registration value and market value...It helps a lot for genuine buyers...also reduce the block money flowing into real estate

May be direct tax payers are 2% , but indirect tax on petrol more than 30% , gst on electronics, groceries , gold , alchol etc people are paying tax . But these 2% people are paying both direct and indirect taxes.

The way taxpayers money is used by the politicians is also a reason for reluctance to pay taxes. A couple of decades ago it was a pride to pay taxes dutifully for an honest and conscientious person. Today no government can be trusted that the taxes paid are in good hands and they would be put to good use. The lavish lifestyle of politians at taxpayers expence is a put-off.
I am paying every year tax... But i am very unhappy... Because most of our money was wasted by our Governments by giving free money to un necessary people with out our country devalopement ... Its very bad to our nation.

ట్యాక్స్ విషయంలో సరళీకృతం చేస్తే
ఎక్కువమంది కట్టవచ్చు. ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ వారికి భయపడే ఎక్కువమంది కట్టలేదు. అక్కడనుండి హెరాస్మెంట్ లేకుంటే కట్టే వారు ఎక్కువ.
Sir! This move of the Central Government, though cannot be called as major tax reform, in my view, will be a game changer as this move is going to bring in more and more professionalism in the approach of handling income tax assessments and income tax appeals - for both Tax Department Officials as well as for the IT Assessees and/or their authorised representatives like Tax Lawyers , Chartered Accountants etc., and will replace the currently prevailing casual / adhoc approach. This practice , if implemented successfully, will usher in much needed transparency , reduces highhandedness exercised by some portion of tax officials, malpractices adopted some portion of the assessees or by some of their tax consultants.
The much larger tax reform which every one talks about is tax simplification and this matter too has been steadily addressed by the Ministry of Finance which probably many have missed to notice. The two main chapters that contribute for large scale litigation and complexity to the Income tax Act are Exempted Incomes ( Chapter III) and Deductions ( Chapter VIA). These two chapters also in way contribute in loss to Revenue and thus forces ruling dispensations to maintain income tax rates at a higher level than they ought to be . In fact the Governments do not know how much was the tax out flow on account of claim of all these deductions and exemptions put together. Thus, the currently charged rates of taxation are not the real rates of income tax as there are numerous exemptions and deductions which , in real terms these exemptions and deductions will pull down down the rate appearing in Income Tax Act/ Income Tax Returns, say 30 %( before Surcharge / Higher Education Cess to a much lesser rate.
If this is so, then why not remove all or a majority of exemptions and deductions from the Income Tax Act and reduce the tax rate itself ? Yes ! It is a great idea. If this could be done then it will lead to twin benefits viz., lesser complexity( and therefore lesser litigation) and lesser rates of taxes ( therefore better voluntary compliance). This is exactly what is being done by the Government in their last two budgets . For corporates the rate of income tax is reduced from 30% to 22% with a condition that many of exemptions and deductions will not henceforth be permitted. Secondly, in the Finance Act 2020 ( or in the Budget 2020) for Individuals also a similar set of reduced rates coupled with a condition that no major exemptions and deductions will be permitted for their claim was brought in.
Of course the Govt., was careful and cautious enough while introducing these game changing reforms in sense that it has not made the new lower rates of income tax mandatory or compulsory for every one. It gave an option so that assessees can weigh the options of higher rate of tax with permission to claim exemptions and deductions (and the attendant litigation) on one side and lower rate of tax ,but no exemptions and deductions ( with attendant lower litigation) on the other side and accordingly they can take a informed decision. We all should remember that for the present level of Governments' Expenditure on various plan and non plan expenditures we cannot currently dream of a situation of having both lower rates of tax and also permission to claim exemptions and deductions.
It is my wild guess that the option of higher rate with right to claim exemptions and deductions may be slowly given a go bye in near future thus leaving only possibility i.e., lower taxes with no right to claim exemptions and deductions, which will puncture the litigation/ complexity filled baloon like present Income tax Act, cutting its size to an almost unimportant or small / routine / ministerial act like Professional Tax/ PF/ ESI Acts. How many of us discuss about of these Acts like Professional Tax / PF etc., in our day to day life. Of course this is distant dream but with steps being initiated in right direction , it does not seem to be so distant.
Of course, the Government can always provide incentives , in place of cumbersome / litigation prone exemptions and deductions in Income tax Act/ GST Act etc.,, by directly transferring the promissed incentive amounts to bank accounts of assesses on ensuring that the conditions laid down for claim of such incentives are duly fulfilled by business entities / business persons who ever wants to make such claims.
I am in 2% bcoz of paying tax on time i am not getting any benefit from govt like health and education.

ఈ faceless assessment అనేది పన్ను సరలీకరణ విధానం కాదు. ఇది కేవలం scrutiny assessments లో అటు assessing officers, ఇటు auditors face to face interaction avoid చేస్తుంది. Information seeking, submission of information electronic గా చేసే అవకాశం వలన ఇది సాధ్యమైంది. కానీ హ్యూమన్ ఇంట్రవెన్షన్ avoid చెయ్యటం వలన అవినీతికి అవకాశం minimum అవుతుంది. దాని స్థానం లో professionality పెరిగే, పెంచుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ITO ల వైపు ఆడిటర్ల వైపు పెరుగుతుంది. Billings వ్యవస్థలో సమూల మార్పులు జరుగుతాయి. ఇది సరళీకరణ ను పెద్దగా influence చెయ్యదు. Business conduct లో కూడా irregularity తగ్గుతుంది.

ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ కట్టడం లేదని ప్రతివాడు అంటుంటాడు. కానీ బిచ్చగాడు సైతం పన్ను కడుతున్నాడు. సంపాదించింది పన్నుల రూపంలో ఎక్కడిక్కడ దోచుకుంటుంటే ఎవడు నోరు మెదపడు. కోర్టులకు వెళితే అది మా పరిధిలోకి రాదంటూ గిరిగీసుకొని కూర్చుంటాయి. వ్యక్తిగత స్వాతంత్ర్యాన్ని ప్రభుత్వాలు ఎక్కడికక్కడ హరిస్తూనే ఉన్నాయి.
భూములు కబ్జా పెట్టినోళ్ళ టాక్స్, వందల ఎకరాలు ఉండి వ్యాపారాలు చేసేటోళ్ళు EWS కోటాలో MRO నుండి సర్టిఫికెట్ లు సంపాదించిన వాళ్ళు, .. బినామీలతో కంపెనీలు, ..ఇలా కుమ్మక్కయి వాళ్ళు ఎలా టాక్స్ కట్టగలరు?!
మరొక అనుమానం... దేశ ప్రజా ప్రతినిధులు కుమ్మక్కయి ఎవరెవరు (పౌరులలో) తమ తమ బ్యాంకు అకౌంట్లో ఎంతెంత దాచుతున్నారు.., వాళ్ళకు ఎవరెవరు డబ్బు ట్రాన్స్ ఫర్ చేయటం ఎంతెంత చేస్తున్నారు?! వీటన్నింటిపై నిఘా పెట్టి కూడా సామాన్య ప్రజల transaction లను తెలుసుకుని కొన్ని అత్యవసరాలను అడ్డుకొనే పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడవచ్చు కదా?! ఉదా: నా తమ్ముడు దూరపు ఊరిలో ఉంటూ తాను ఒక బైక్ (₹1,25,000/-) కొనాలని ఇంట్లో వారిని డబ్బు అడిగాడనుకోండి.. దానికి ఆ డబ్బు ఏదొక రకంగా సమకూర్చి ఒకేసారి ఆన్ లైన్ ద్వారా పంపాలనే సమయం వచ్చి పడినప్పుడు.. ఆ డబ్బుని పంపే విషయంలో ఈ పార్టీస్ నియంత్రించే అవకాశం ఉండదా అని!
ఎలా అంటే... ఆన్ లైన్ లో సవా లక్ష ఆప్షన్ లు ఇచ్చేసి వెతుక్కోమని అంటే సాధారణ ఉద్యోగులకి(ఆన్ లైన్ గురించి తెలియనోళ్ళకి) ఎలా ఉంటుందో ఆలోచించండి!

Govt should declare howmany persons are under tax bracket and out of them , how much percentage are paying tax? Not out of total 130 cr population, because many of them will not be under taxbracket. Agricultural income is fully exempted from tax.

Only salaried employees pay Income tax. All business owners seek exemptions of income tax, legally. When every person paying tax every moment they purchase any item or paying school fees, medical expenses, traveling, etc., etc.,why this income tax on salary while rendering service. I think Prof Sir forgot about 60% Farmers in India are exempted from Tax. The out of 40% people wherein 25% people are getting less than Rs. 5 Lacs salary per annum and they are exempted too. If so, only 15% people are taxable people in India (Salaried Employees, Business People, SME, Professors, Small Scale Entrepreneurs and so on).
