I watch classical religious films like this and Samson & Delilah every Easter. It's tradition for me. Jeffery Hunter did such an amazing job and his looks made me think he was Jesus when I was little as a 90's kid/late 80's baby. He was also 33 during filming which was how old the true Jesus was then.
The love of God and Jesus can overcome all things pain and heartbroken souls and make us whole with him for eternity

The first time I saw this I was about second grade. My father had a friend who was manager of the Big Bend theater in St. Louis. He gave an open invitation to my father to "walk in" and grab a seat. One afternoon we did and it was this scene we walked in on. I was never so moved as a child by the miracles but every bit grasped by the powerful score that accompanied it. I have watched The King of Kings many times throughout my life but especially listened to the score. I cannot listen to the score without bawling like a baby. It impacted me my entire life. Miklos Rozsa was called to compose the score for this movie which is a masterpiece for the Son of God!

The presence of Jesus is like a ghost, you know he is there, but he is never show. Just a sublime metaphor.
