Holy crap man. So I just bought a WRX this year and here I am looking for videos of subies, and what do I find? A video posted by my godbrother. Sick car man, I’m amazed that this came up on my RUclips.
i really respect how you took the time to at least to do some kind of corrosion prevention on the areas you had to cut. Attention to details makes even the parts you dont see a lot more impressive
Thank you! It’s really important to me that everything is solid and can be driven in all weather conditions. I believe that if you’re embarrassed to take the kit off and drive, it wasn’t done right.
@@StephenBaran exactly. Like it's definitely one thing if you didn't do it to the front fenders, cause you can replace them, but it's still stupid to do nothing. Were you running all stock engine for this build?
Sorry for the super late response. Yep, the motor was basically stock. I had an Accessport with Cobb Intake and muffler delete before I officially started.
What is that black trim you put over the cut fender at 2:03 I just cut the fenders on my legacy cus I'm gonna do a lift build and some custom fenders. Great video btw, love the build. Just subbed!
Thank you! I used “rubber edging” from amazon. It should come up if you search that. Feel free to use a rubber sealant between the edging and the fender (to secure the edging to the fender) and the outsides of the edging to the fender faces to help seal it all up. I don’t recall showing this but I also used self etching primer and painted over the raw metal sections to aid in corrosion prevention. No sense in doing all of this work if everything rusted out from under you!
No worries 😊 I chose the WRX because I didn’t want to spend 32k+ on an old EJ motor and a diff that I wouldn’t ever adjust. I wanted the new FA20 platform. I’m glad I went this route because I’ve been pushing 415whp for a good while with zero issues. Stock block, stock trans, stock turbo, all original.
Thank you! I'm going to work on making a full video on a current parts list and cost of build. I want to say that I've put close to 30k into the car now? I haven't really been keeping track over the last 3 years.
wow all in the garage too .I love a wide body 2015+ subie .Dont have the guts to cut mine up like that tho lol ps:you should have way more subscribers for such a high end build man !
Thank you! 🙌 I actually built them myself. I used Modified Technologies c lights and Morimoto retrofit kit projectors/demon eyes/etched lenses to make my set.
Stephen Baran wow! I am seriously impressed. I respect the grind man. Love your car. Planning to finally buy my WRX soon and super excited to build it fully. I know the work it takes to build a car as I have a 99 Miata NB that I built and love.
The 2015+ WRX models have the FA20 with a twin scroll turbo and equal length headers. Those drastically change the sound of the boxer motor and hide the rumble. Theoretically, if you were to take a single scroll turbo and an unequal length header setup and install them, you’d get the rumble sound back. It kind of sucks that it doesn’t sound like how a boxer motor should sound, but with the twin scroll turbo setup you can hit peak boost levels at as low as 2000rpm. Pros and cons I suppose.
The dump tubes actually touch the ground depending on where I air out at so I have to be mindful of slopes and bumps where I park if I decide to air out. I’m sure it would also depend on wheel and tire specs. I’m pretty sure stock body can air out lower so it might be more problematic.
DAYUM this is one of the nicest Subies I've heard/seen. I like the wheels so much I want to put them on my car. What are they? I can tell there definitely something from cosmis.
I chose to use rivnuts so I can remove sections of the widebody for vehicle maintenance and panel repair if one were to get damaged. If they were molded, I’d have to take and leave the entire car at a body shop for weeks or maybe months.
Thank you for the support! I found the bumper online for $200. My fog light delete panels were made by my business @sbtkdeletes and the OEM grille was roughly $150 not counting my new front badge and paint.
Everyone has to start from somewhere! Just take your time and it will be alright. If you ever feel like you can’t do the job properly, be sure to contact someone who can or do more research to learn how to do it properly 🤙 It’s all about enjoying the process and learning!
Yeaaaaaaaah... hind sight is always 20/20 😂 The original plan was to wait to do the pump but we made a last minute call to just toss it in while the car was down.
It’s a project my guy. One step at a time. No project is built in a week unless you have money like that, or you have some kind of sponsor. Anyway, 415whp is plenty to enjoy from the cabin.

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
LOVE THE BUILD KEEPER GOIN!!

Just beautifully designed with touch of class. I give you guys five 👍
Thank you!! I really appreciate it!
I’m really really love it how you work with the cars it’s your best job congratulations 🎊🍾
What were those head/tail lights please let me know!!!

I’m kinda digging this car for my wife 🔥🔥
That shit's clean bro!
Thank you so much! 🙏
Can you please do a video on the wot box install?
Is that man welding in flip flops? lmao. Awesome build!
Thank you! And yeah, he’s pretty wild sometimes 😂
Cleannnnn ass built not to many make them look this nice good shit man🔥🔥
Love the wide body setup👍 nice job!
Thank you!
Love the vid mate keep it up, should I go for a single tip tomei or keep my invidia q300 quad tip?
Personally I love the Tomei but those are both great options! That’s a hard decision lol
Well there goes a perfectly good wrx.
The best car
Just came across your channel and I love your build, which external wast gate set up are you running?
Thank you!
I’m running the Killer B headers with dual Tial wastegates.
@@StephenBaran of course brotha ❤ just subscribed keep it up
What was the last mod you have towards the end? ECU? Your throttle response are way more aggressive than mine.
The last is an ignition cut launch control/wot box! I’m still stock ECU tuned on Accessport by Ron at Phatbotti Tuning.
Good job man!
Noob question, why buy a WRX (and modified it ) instead of the STI?
No worries 😊
I chose the WRX because I didn’t want to spend 32k+ on an old EJ motor and a diff that I wouldn’t ever adjust. I wanted the new FA20 platform. I’m glad I went this route because I’ve been pushing 415whp for a good while with zero issues. Stock block, stock trans, stock turbo, all original.
Keep it going mah man
That boost gauge, and im currently waitin for my parts for ewg
EWG makes the car into a monster, that’s for sure! I love it but it’s definitely a very loud machine at WOT now lol
Nice build i been looking for a nice wide body kit. What kit is this?
Crown Carbon Crafting makes them!
Thank you
Love the build! About how much did it cost for everything?
Thank you! I'm going to work on making a full video on a current parts list and cost of build. I want to say that I've put close to 30k into the car now? I haven't really been keeping track over the last 3 years.
I just got a 2018 StI I am so excited
Congratulations and welcome to the Subi fam! 🤙
That's clean asf. You near Greenville area?
Thank you! I’m nearest to Columbia 🤙
wow all in the garage too .I love a wide body 2015+ subie .Dont have the guts to cut mine up like that tho lol
ps:you should have way more subscribers for such a high end build man !
Thank you so much!! ❤️ We do everything in the garage except painting! It’s been a wild ride, but we make due with what tools we have lol
Which cosmis racing wheels are those
XT 206 R 👍🏼
What's that chip that you added in at the end?
It’s the N2MB two step/wotbox!
Nice
Great dude, now just do my car next
Sign me up!
What rear diffuser is that ? 🔥🔥
It’s the SBTKdeletes diffuser! Here's the link.
www.sbtkdeletes.com/product-page/2015-wrx-and-sti-rear-diffuser-starter-kit
What wide body kit is that? Looks sik
It’s the Crown Carbon Crafting!
I really love it but not fan of the rear diffuser
What kind of wheels do you have and what are the specs ?
Cosmis Racing XT-206R 18x11+8
Lovely video brother. You gained a sub. What are the name of the headlights?
What's your headlight bulbs called?
I’m using the OLM LED high beams/DRL bulbs and the Morimoto H1 low beam projectors with etched lenses and HIDs.
Stephen Baran do you think theres a fit for a civic 2019, i like it
whats the black stuff you use after cutting the panels?
fenders*
It’s a type of spray sound proofing. It helped strengthen up the fiber glass panels a bit. It’s used in wheel wells often.
Unless you’re talking about the seam sealant or rubber edging for weather proofing the cuts to the body.
You guys are mad fucking scientists 🤣 good shit.
This comment made my day 😁 Thank you!!
Why dont it have the rumbling Subaru sound?
The 2015+ WRX models have the FA20 with a twin scroll turbo and equal length headers. Those drastically change the sound of the boxer motor and hide the rumble. Looks so clean! What wide body kit is that?
Thank you! It’s the Crown Carbon Crafting Kit!
Stephen Baran thanks homie!
Love it 🔥 how does the car sit with the open dump waste Gates with bags? I want bags but I'm worried I'll damage the wastegates
The dump tubes actually touch the ground depending on where I air out at so I have to be mindful of slopes and bumps where I park if I decide to air out. I’m sure it would also depend on wheel and tire specs. I’m pretty sure stock body can air out lower so it might be more problematic.
what song is that??
What wheels are those?
Cosmis XT-206R 18x11+8
Nice build. My salvage rebuild was also inspired you throtl
DAYUM this is one of the nicest Subies I've heard/seen.
I like the wheels so much I want to put them on my car.
What are they?
I can tell there definitely something from cosmis.
Thank you!! They are the Cosmis XT-206R 😃 I love them, but I’m about to change over to a different style wheel.
@@StephenBaran thanks!
Random R-32 (I think) in the garage. 8:58
You are absolutely correct!
@@StephenBaran Helluva selection.
Throtl ❤❤
Those fucking pops! 👍👍👍👍
The screw holes on the body kit looks ugly, why not just fiberglass it to the body or is that not possible?
I chose to use rivnuts so I can remove sections of the widebody for vehicle maintenance and panel repair if one were to get damaged. If they were molded, I’d have to take and leave the entire car at a body shop for weeks or maybe months.
LOVE IT!
❤️❤️❤️
I see you repping it’s okay !
One of my favorites, hands down 🤙
Clean
Subscribed 👌🏽 also how much did it cost for the 2018 bumper swap?
Thank you for the support! I found the bumper online for $200. My fog light delete panels were made by my business @sbtkdeletes and the OEM grille was roughly $150 not counting my new front badge and paint.
I love wrx so much I'm not a mechanic tho going to be difficult for me to build mine
Everyone has to start from somewhere! Just take your time and it will be alright. If you ever feel like you can’t do the job properly, be sure to contact someone who can or do more research to learn how to do it properly 🤙 It’s all about enjoying the process and learning!
yeah thanks alot man gonna save this video tho until i have a wrx so i could watch it and get some ideas
直噴にマニュアル設定あるんだね。良いな~
Your build is nice 🥂 new sub here
🥂 thank you thank you!!
Anytime , building my 90 miata
Bigger wheels
only 700 subs? watdefak
Shoulda run almost out of gas and then change the fuel pump less work
Yeaaaaaaaah... hind sight is always 20/20 😂 The original plan was to wait to do the pump but we made a last minute call to just toss it in while the car was down.
sick car... i would personally re-do the exhaust it sounds like a whipper snipper :/
Currently, I’m running an SBTK Side Exit exhaust. This video is a bit outdated lol
Where did u get ur headlights?
I built them! We also build them for our company! www.sbtkdeletes.com
listen here kiddos, dont widebody your financed car
I don't like the whistley exhaust
Cool build but almost seems the wheels look too small or the widebody is overtaking the wheels
New wheels are in the works ❤️
หล่ออย่างแรง
Flared*
Got say that looks terrible. Looks bloated with clip on body kit. I would went with molded 1 piece panels.
I wish they were clip on, would have made the job a lot easier!
どこのオーバーフェンダーだろ?
My WRX has the Crown Carbon Crafting “Dagger Edition” widebody kit installed. 🙂
@@StephenBaran Thank you for telling me the information.
Meanwhile you probably did nothing to the interior, the place where you spend 90% of the time lol
It’s a project my guy. One step at a time. No project is built in a week unless you have money like that, or you have some kind of sponsor. Anyway, 415whp is plenty to enjoy from the cabin.
@@StephenBaran what’s your exhaust set up? I want my subi to sound like this
Currently I’m running the SBTKdeletes Side Exit catless 🙃
slowing ruining a car for 10 minutes
Fail
Why make a decent car so ugly?
Why not? 🙃
