Where is the secret gate that opened onto the moat, as shown in the Abarenbo Shogun TV series (Just kidding)? The pathway looks nice & neat with wide sidewalks and open space. The whole scenery looks relaxingly calm, even on a cloudy day. Thank you for the nice video!
If you take the palace ground tour, you might see it. Though I am not sure which gate you are referring to since I have not watched the remade Shogun. In the tour they will take you to a bridge that spans across the moat, leading into the inner grounds. But that is as far as we went. Beyond that is the imperial palace already. In this video, he is only showing the outer palace ground which are open to general public.

コロナ禍でランニング始めてこの辺走ったりもしたけど、オリンピックの頃なんて外国人どころか人も全員いなかった

今度機会があったら乾門から靖国前への皇居内を通って観ては如何ですかね、テレビなどで見覚えの所もありますよ。松の廊下の案内表示もありますよ。
警視庁前の桜田門の所は桜田門外の変など思い出しますね。また、半蔵門に至る最高裁、国立劇場（歌舞伎）などが見えましたね。
でもね、観ていても４K歩いた感じで疲れました。（笑）

Cherry blossom season is especially beautiful around Imperial palace. If you have chance to visit Japan , I recommend you to come on March.

一周５ｋｍで景色も良くておすすめです。
都市計画が成功した唯一の場所。皇居みたいな場所が東京に10個くらいあったら、東京、すごくね、になるんだけど。新宿都庁も、皇居をモデルにして、水鳥たちが遊ぶお堀を作ってほしかったな。
皇居の周りは相変わらずランニングしている人が多いですね。
今の天皇が皇太子だった頃、大手門の前でランニングする姿をお見掛けしました。
逆走してはいけません。ルールに従って皇居は、右周りしてください。Do not drive in the opposite direction. Please follow the rules and go around the Imperial Palace clockwise.
皇居周辺なんてオフィスだらけなのに何してるんだろう
毎年秋に東京駅周辺を散策していますが、皇居方面へは行っていません。涼しくなったので今年はそちらへも足を延ばそうと思います
