  • Supporting sustainability of reform - economic case studies undertaken to inform sustainability of New South Wales value-based healthcare initiatives
This is an abstract presentation recorded for the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority's (IHPA) Activity Based Funding Conference 2022, which was held virtually from 5 to 6 May 2022.
    About this abstract
Leading Better Value Care (LBVC) is one of the programs accelerating value based healthcare (VBHC) in NSW. It involves clinicians, networks and organisations working together on high-impact initiatives to improve outcomes and experiences for people with specific conditions.
While many factors contribute to sustainability (eg clinician and patient engagement and acceptance of change, implementation approaches etc) economic sustainability and considerations of opportunity cost are also a key consideration given limited health resources.
    Presenter
