Using the App you can attach 2 Speakers to your device, that's cool, but I agree that having an equalizer would be cool, like with the Bose headphones and the other App
The app helped me yo figure out why i was having such a problem with the blinking charging kight not going off. It woilbt go past 10%. The app is helpful if youre having issues fir sure.
Took it out of the box and immediately started charging it. Could not get it to pair. Could not even see it on my phone. Only could see it in Bose App. I looked up help on internet to pair this device. I tried their suggestion of holding the power button for 10 seconds. Nope. I tried their suggestion of holding the Bluetooth button on the speaker for 10 seconds. Nope. I tried rebooting my phone. Nope. Since I had just bought this speaker, I was going to return it. Then I had the bright idea of unplugging the charger which FIXED it!
I has the similar issue. I could see like 3 different bose, just different icon, it appears connected not nor working. Just about to go back to the store, it connected. I'm afraid of having this kind of issues again in the future
Purchased a soundlink, could not get it to charge, replaced and purchased a new power supply, still no charge. Returned for second time, online support was slow and unhelpful. It has taken four days of attempting to get this device to charge. I'll be returning and replacing with another brand today
I'm having the same issue. I returned my first one, same problem with the second one. It won't charge past 10%. I'm returning it and getting something else instead. Bise is now off my list, unfortunately.
It may be a little large for your application, but the JBL CHARGE 5 has good overall volume & bass output, as well as a 20 hour battery life. It also has a usb - a port for topping off your phone. It also cost the same or less than the BOSE, & is a 40 watt speaker. 30 watts for the driver, & 10 watts for the tweeter.
Can’t easily replace battery in Bose Bluetooth speakers. I have two of them which are essentially bricks now. Never buy a Bluetooth speaker unless you can change the battery yourself.
I dont understand the first point. U need a cover for the charging port? Do u have cover for your mobile phone's charging port too? It's IP68. U dont need that. Yes, when it's wet, you might need to wait until it's dry, then only you will be able to charge it, but it's the sane as the phone. Do u bring a cover for your mobile phone's charging port with u all the time?
I'm looking for a BT speaker to strap onto my e-scooter, is this my best bet? How does it compare to the REVOLVE+ II? I don't want to be disappointed with the bass outdoors and in the wind...
Please don't strap a speaker to your e-scooter! It's bad enough that people zoom around on these horrible things but blasting music at the same time? C'mon man. Have some consideration for those around you.
Really so disappointed to see Bose utilising the bose connect app instead of the bose music app. The music app has so much potential to use the equaliser and much better features on there.
UPDATE, on using my PAIR of BOSE SOUNDLINK FLEX, very disappointed! Buyer BEWARE! Was previously using a pair of these speakers on a much older IPAD 5th generation without any problems, recently upgraded to IPAD Pro 256GB 12.9 latest firmware installed on both speakers and latest IOS installed. The problem is now SPEAKERS LAG, it’s terrible and very noticeable when watching videos movies etc. It’s almost as if the new iPad is too fast for the actual Bluetooth connection? Disappointed.
Have you tried to rename at least the one of the speakers through the app? Or setting your stream device bluetooth to connect to one only bluetooth device instead of two simultaneously? On Stereo Mode the device must be stable connected to the one speaker only, and this speaker is connected to the second one. If the streaming device connection is confused by the same name of both speakers, or trying to connect with both simultaneously, then bad things happen.
This speaker sounds better than my old surround sound system. Technology has gone through the roof!
Indeed, and this one sounds better (IMO) than the soundlink II SE which has two speakers, this one has only one speaker
@kschleich1950
My cheap VISIO soundbar with subwoofer sounds better than this speaker. But the soundbar is not portable.
I'm using these mostly as pair connected in Stereo Mode and they sound amazing and better for many budget bookshelf speakers.

These go on sale at Costco next week for $89.99 (July 31)
Just seen that! Will definitely be purchasing two more. These speakers are amazing.

You are 100% correct, the APP is useless. I’m using a pair of these speakers in STEREO MODE with my IPad and they sound amazing. Very happy with them.
Took it out of the box and immediately started charging it.

Yeah it sucks it doesn't have a equalizers my first one I had 10 months would not charge anymore they sent me an exchange with no problem
Have you tried the Marshall Willen and is that a comparable option to this?
No it's more comparable to the Emberton. Willen is more comparable to the Bose Soundlink Micro.
How about just for taking phone calls? Or RUclips videos where people are talking
Do you think the white colour would mark/ stain easily?
I have the white one for a very long time now and no stains at all.
Purchased a soundlink, could not get it to charge, replaced and purchased a new power supply, still no charge. Returned for second time, online support was slow and unhelpful. It has taken four days of attempting to get this device to charge. I'll be returning and replacing with another brand today

Can a guitar be hooked up to this Bose Speaker????
No cuz it doesn't have aux. USB C only.
I don't cover the charger port on my phone at the beach, why would I on my speaker? Tuning out within the first minute. Your negatives are silly

Is the sound output of bose soundlink flex 30w?
@@vikramkumar4849 I’m not quite sure. I wanna say it’s between 12 - 20 watts, with one full range driver.
Bose sounds much better.
Do you know if it could be connected to a 3.5mm jack cable with an adapter for the c-charge slot?
You cannot
I am also sad that it does not have an equalizer. I just bought it and now I relized it does not have an Equalizer. The bass is too strong ;(
Can’t easily replace battery in Bose Bluetooth speakers. I have two of them which are essentially bricks now.
Never buy a Bluetooth speaker unless you can change the battery yourself.
It’s okay. These Bose speaker batteries last forever. I still have my original Soundlink from like 14 years ago, still use it

its fine for water, but imagine it at the beach, its gonna get grains of sand lodged in the port
I have this speaker very good
It’s having which watts sound

you need the app for upgrading the firmware or?
Bro, is the black version a dust & finger print magnet?
Not at all
Really so disappointed to see Bose utilising the bose connect app instead of the bose music app. The music app has so much potential to use the equaliser and much better features on there.
Yep thats Bose my friend. They know about some of the technical issues on their portable speakers and yet no updates or recalls. Not happy
Why it's draining so fast I am about to return it.
Go to your app. See if it's actually charging. Mine isn't charging past 10%.
Add a USB-C plug and cut off the cable. It is a cheap fix
The sound quality is why you don’t need a equalizer
electrical tape maybe, but please God, not duct tape! it will leave a sticky residue on the speaker that is very hard to remove.
It’s total junk. Won’t even charge. Lasted about 6 hours before returning
Typical moaner... most don't use equaliser...it sounds fine as it is.
😂

This is an issue with the iPad. All bluetooth devices have latency, typically the iPad should delay the video so that the picture matches the audio.
Sounds like you need to get rid of that crappy iPhone
*iPad is crap
