There are documented cases of people able to punch cleanly through car windscreens barehanded, shattering their entire hands and continuing an assault. Additionally, there are many instances of individuals on stimulants and ignorant to their pain being able to overpower multiple police officers while sustaining broken arms and collarbones.
While it's absolutely true that these effects will eventually stop you, you'd be surprised what your body can do and enduring without your sympathetic nervous system shutting things down to protect you from yourself.

I imagine that there's a character who's so good at martial arts that they can make a bullshido move actually work on advanced opponents and humiliate them.
So for example, he/she can put a trained opponent with a weapon into an aikido wrist lock and take them to the floor just by grabbing their wrist. Even when it's acknowledged in universe to be a garbage move and it managed to work against the equivalent of a world class fighter in that universe.

Bondo is my favorite Death Row inmate after Dorian from "Baki". Bondo might use Brute Force, but he uses his Abnormal Flexibility into Offense/Defensive/Evading his more skilled opponents until they figure out his tricks!
