This is not a criticism, because I do it too... but... You don't need to edge the V8. It has a flat bottom, so it gives a little bit of an "edge" from leaning the boat, but not much. When/if you move up in skis - the bottom will be round and leaning/edging won't do anything except throw you off balance. So, if you ever plan on getting a tippy ski - you should sit completely upright when you surf. As a surfer this will seem counter intuitive, but it will help keep you in the boat when/if you transition. Like I said, I lean too. Though, now I do it just mostly so I can put a more pressure on the paddle/brace to spin out of a wave. Generally though, there's no reason to lean a surf ski. It just forces you to put more pressure into your brace. Anyway, nice video. Looks fun!
