Actually, the Super Spook Jr in the bone color you were using. 2nd choice - bone colored Skitter Walk. Sure wish you hadn't mentioned the 1st site (which we call the "no trees island" - is my favorite wintertime spot for trout - kidding, but not really!). As far as the ban on the slam species, wish they'd do it for another 2 years, if not permanently. I too have noticed a big improvement in catches of the big 3 since the ban. For me, the thrill is in the catching, not the keeping. If I want to eat fish, I'll buy some. With the ever-increasing population around here, if people continue to catch/keep limits, it'll have a negative effect on fish population. I'm not confident in the FWC to stay on top of that. Anyway, another great video!
I'm a simple man, I see a heddon spook i click like. I remember back in the 90s when even old timers were trading their trusty spoons for Zara spooks. Easily the best inshore top water bait. Will be kayak camping hernando line north from aripeka (home town) in late February. See a fat guy on an orange vibe kayak say hi, we'll cook ya a shore lunch.
*Great item. First cast out of the package caught a nice bass. Pulls smooth in the water and sets up nicely immediately upon retrieval. Worth adding to your tackle box.*
I just wanted to thank you for the stickers for my husband that you sent I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that he passed away on Thursday but he really enjoyed your channel I know at one point you were going to meet up and go fishing I have a 16 year old son and I would be more than willing to meet up with you as well so he could fish with you just in memory of his dad
Great video as always Brent. Hey, is justin mendez ok? That guy had a good thing going...miss his videos and knew you guys were friends so thought you might know...
Thanks dude and Justin's doing good. He's been away at college for the past couple months, but I'm pretty sure he's home and fishing/filming again while on his break
In the 60's, " walking the dog" with the Zara Spook was the first choice for top water snook action around St. Pete, Fl. or down on the Myakka R. inland from Venice. Many great days with Heddon, especially with the Vamp Spook. Never did use them for trout or reds, so I find this video of interest!
Damn brother it sounds like you need to lube up that reel. Every time you cast was like nails on a chalk board for me. My Penn Pursuit 3 4000 started sticking on me after a year and I took it apart and lubed it up and now it is good as new. God Bless, and tight lines.
The west coast definitely improved from the 2 year close on the trout and reds I feel like we need something like that over here on the east coast water quality has been hurting here
What's your favorite topwater lure for inshore fishing?

Tampa yessir
Fish always hit when you are not paying attention. You catch some quality fish in your videos. 👍🏻
Thank you!
Sometimes I purposely look away while I work the lure. I know it’s all in my head, but I still do it
Noticed you don't have a loop knot on the topwater. Isn't a loop knot better for topwater action?
Did you know speckled trout and white trout are actually not members of the trout family but the drum family
You ever want to fish Panama city Beach fl let me know its on the house !
Do you fish with your subscribers at any time
Your water is so clean! It is like chocolate milk over here on the East.
Bass Pro shops $1 popper in white. Trout can’t get enough of it
Ik also their spinner bait
awesome vdeo man!

Counting down there days we can keep them.
hey man Im trying to get back into fishing mainly saltwater what are your recommended rod and reel combos?
My go-to inshore combo is a Penn Clash 3000 on a St. Croix Mojo Inshore 7' 6" Medium-Light action rod
May of 2021, maybe, it will be reviewed. I think, that is the way they phrase it. Hopefully you are right.
I believe they set time limits on trout so the guys netting can get a good Bounty for commercial fishing/profit sad but true !

Sucks you can’t keep reds on the west coast. Y’all are missing out
Did you ever race RC cars in the Tampa area?
The west coast definitely improved from the 2 year close on the trout and reds I feel like we need something like that over here on the east coast water quality has been hurting here
I wish I had a boat, Onshore is getting old
Kayak is the easy way to go. I love mine for the flats.
