They're not official versions, just people writing down what they hear and they're often pretty far off

No weaboo, but this one just doesn't hit like the Japanese version. She has to extend syllables to make the translation work, but it ruins the flow. The bridge part is even missing. She does have a better singing voice.
Alot of people complaining about it not being as "cute" as the Japanese version don't seem to understand that Shorty wants to grow up and become more independent even though she still holds onto childish things such as eating a ton of sweets daily (this is emphasized in the manga). In Japan they more than likely wanted to keep a more childish flair to Shorty's character but in the NA version they seem to have went with emphasizing her eagerness to grow up with a more mature singer. Neither version is "worse" than the other.
For Bust a Groove 2, Robbie Danzie did the English versions of Shorty and Kelly songs. She also did the English version of Transform, Kelly's song in Bust a Groove 1. If you ever played older DDR games, you'll recognize her voice in BABY BABY GIMME YOUR LOVE by DIVAS from DDR or BURNIN THE FLOOR by NAOKI.
