Thanks for this review. I’m no chef, just a housewife but I really do hate blunt knives. I struggled with various devices to sharpen my knives but never managed to sharpen them. When I saw these knives in the Black Friday sale with a built in sharpener I took the risk and invested. I’m glad I did they are superb. Your video has confirmed my investment so thank you I’m super happy now. Stay warm and happy chopping ❤
But….. don’t do what I did with my lovely ninja knives 😢. Try and sharpen a knife that isn’t ninja! Yes, I’m an idiot I know, knife got stuck good and proper and upset the sharpening wheel. Now completely useless! Ninja weren’t that helpful couldn’t offer a repair service just another set of knives at Black Friday price or another complete base - no knives for £90. 😡😡😡😡😡
Thanks for the video. When it comes to knives, I cant make a true assesment until Ive used them for a few hundred days. To me the most important characteristics is how long it holds an edge and how that edge itself holds up over time. Not to mention the overall longevity of the knife.
Great question and one I realised I forgot to show! Yes is the answer! There is a flap under the sharpening section that opens so it can be cleaned out. Many thanks for watching 😀👍
Hi Great Video - love my Ninja knives from QVC ! I can at last cut a nice thin slice of Home Made (Panasonic Breadmaker) Bread with the Bread Knife which you did not use in your video. Thank you for your great Video.
Thanks for the review, been looking to buy these knives for a while, expensive investment if they weren’t up to the job. Now I know they are good I can safely buy a set
Brilliant review thanks …Impressive knives, we need new ones but my wife things the block they come in is ugly & huge. I’m disabled & that sharpener would be much easier to use for me
My sharpener is not working although I am doing the same as you. Mine doesn’t make that satisfying grinding noise especially the two smaller ones and they have definitely lost that original razor sharpness. Any ideas?
Hi, yes overall I really like using them. I wish the Chefs knife was a little bigger but overall very happy. I've run the big knife through the sharpener a couple of times now. Don't put in a dishwasher as made that mistake with one of them and the handle looks slightly off colour now to the others.
Thanks for the review. Box looks massive there. Seemed smaller when i bought them today. How are these holding up? Bought a couple of sharpening wheels from ninja separately. According to the reviews the wheel isn't effective after a couple of months. Maybe ill practice 🤔 also never got all that egg shell package around the block. Argos purchase. Maybe they have changed things around. Mine was wrapped in a white bag 👍
Let us know what you think of them in a year's time. I loved mine but the sharpener is starting to put burrs on the blades of a couple of them. I have replaced the stone a couple of times but it still does it. If I remove the burr with a steel the ninja sharpener will worked fine for a week or two and then I get a burr back again. 😢
Great knives, the sharpening device actually ruins the blade though, it only does one edge and eventually leads to a big burr on the edge so get the stone out!
@@timhorgan6843 no I didn't get paid by them. My wife bought them for me as a birthday present. The only way I would earn any commission is if someone bought any products using the links in the descriptions. 😊👍😁

I totally agree with you I did exactly the same, great set of knives
Thanks Denise 😀😀👍

What was the price on Black Friday?
From what I remember I think they were £120

Thank you for the review 👍🏻
I just ordered this set and now I'm looking even more forward to getting it
Im convinced…… one question…. Is the block cleanable inside? I mean all those metal filings must go somewhere.. ???

Hide them out of sight from your wife is my only advice 😆😆👍
Just subscribed great video! I have just got thus set of knives and cannot wait to use them!
Brilliant StevieCooks 🙂👍 watch those fingers!
@@1Pizza2Many I will! I need to learn how to use them like you do!
Haha, many plasters and bags of onions 🧅🙂👍maybe you can do a french onion soup in your Ninja soup maker?
@1Pizza2Many Great idea! Thanks binge watching your videos!

That's interesting to know, many thanks👍
Chicago Cutlery Insignia 18-pc set for the win
A great review, I am considering getting this set. How has it been holding up for you? Is it still razor sharp ?

By white bag I mean a soft white rippable cloth bag.
Yep they are doing well so far, just don't dish wash them as handles fade slightly.
@@1Pizza2Many cheers and thank you. Dishwasher's are for the idle 👍 Nice to know your going strong with the knife set. Gives me confidence 😃
I got mine off QVC as well. Have plenty of scars on my fingers. Great set.
Haha brilliant 🤣👍
not sure if I had a faulty sharpener but sent mine back after a few weeks the sharpener just didn’t work at all
It only works on one way

Will do. That doesn't sound right that it's doing that. Sounds like it's off slightly to do that to the blade?
It'll be interesting to see if yours end up doing the same.
I think you were just showing off with your knife skills. :)
Haha thanks, I'll take that still 🥰🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just got these off Santa. Seem to be pretty good so far
Would have love to see the 2 month test
Hi, yes still need to do that one. 🤣 I'll definitely do it soon.

Were you paid by Ninja for this review? Or are you in any way affiliated with them?

Did you just put a dirty knife into the sharpener?
There's always someone !🥸🥸
AND CUT SOME SWEET POTATOS see how they work then.....lol
