Gerald (who they say is the coolest person in the entire multiverse) managed to defeat the evil Vlad Plasmius. When he returned to his universe he told the story to his friends and so that they would believe him he had brought objects from the different universes.
Gerald is a very unique character. His moves are a little difficult, but once you master him, he is a force to be reckoned with. In terms of which smash character he's most like, I'd say he's a mix of Luigi, Hero, Villager, and Sonic with his down special being similar to Hero's and his moves being like a mix of Luigi in terms of how he floats and his side special being like Sonic's side special
