forbidden droplet halves the attack of the monster before negating its effects, in yugioh, if an effect sets the attack or defense, it can't change unless the last setting effect disappear or another effect sets the attack/defense again, ancient chant sets ra's original attack, then ra summoning effect make it gain attack, then forbidden droplet sets it to half that, then negates ra's effect, but since the last setting effect is droplet, ra does not loses attack from having its effect negated
Well yeah, since ancient chant make it set original attack, even with effect negated will not removed their atk/def stats The only way to make it lose atk/def is by make it face-down them as it's will forget the info of this card was affected by ancient chant
@@BambangYuuNoRudianto we are not talking about ancient chant effect, if ra effect was negated THEN his attack halved, ra would lose 7900 attack from having his effect negated, then the 10000 remaining original attack would be set to 5000, and the player would not have won

But since effect's already resolved, using droplet won't make Ra's attack dissappear, and only reduce to 8950 (half of 17900). Dragoon guy lose because of wrong timing.
