Boy you really hit the nail on the head for my 26 year marriage. In the past 10 months both my husband and I lost our fathers within 3 months of each other. It blew our marriage wide open. I told him it was over, saw an attorney, had all the divorce paperwork filled out. Somehow we made it through and are doing quite well. Grief and menopause are a powerful force for a woman.

You are absolutely correct about how menopause changes the way you view your relationships and its not just your marriage. Almost all of my close relationships went through a thorough evaluation and some of them survived and others did not. This video should be mandatory viewing for any couple going through menopause. In menopause the leeches get pulled off. Thank you so much for what you are doing!

This was funny & informative! I was married when I was 17 years old and I am still married to the same man. As a young person he always let me be my own person and I am very thankful for that. The human body is a real mystery and very interesting how things work! Thank you so much!😍

Really, it doesn't sound like a lack of oxytocin or other midlife changes are triggering these divorces. Lots of women after midlife remain nurturing and happy in their partnerships, because they married good men. Sounds like the real problem is that some women marry lazy man babies who want to be coddled and catered to.

This is a one of the most informative video I've found on the subject. It really would be very helpful if you can make some more in-depth videos on the same topic. What to do? What are the signs? Is there any hope? What are the stages? Is this a temporary situation and if so how long this will last? Some real stories. etc. Many marriages or relationships are broken because of this and people are confused not knowing what is really going on or what to do! We really need more guidance and practical information to be able to handle and overcome the situation and if not at least have a better understanding or better prepared for this. Thank you.

Hilarious session yet true in some senses. It really resonated with my own life in many aspect. Getting tired of taking care of everybody else; what about my work and life. Fortunately I have a nice husband who in turn supporting me in turn now 👍

Man here. Interesting. Being educated on menopause. I think this particular video focuses on just part of the problem. Mood swings and anger and various symptoms make life hell for some women. They don’t just divorce. They change/lose jobs, they fight with friends. It’s just a rough time. Men educated about this can learn to understand somewhat, not over-react, and be supportive. And also encourage women to get treatment!

Wow. Very informative. I believe you are correct in every point you have made. And although i appreciate your sense of humor. I cannot get over how lightly divorce is taking these days.we are talking about the break up of a family. The break of a lifetime promise. The traumatic experience to everyone in the family and the destruction of the fabric of society itself. Yes there is hormones but there is also our sense of duty to the family and our future generations and also responsibility to civilization.

So can we do anything about the loss of oxytocin in the body? Similar to taking estrogen and progesterone?
