There should absolutely be exceptions in my opinion. It's baseball, the fans are just as important as the players. Without the fans, there is NO baseball. There are just a few very special fans out there, Zack is one of them. You have hundreds of players in the hall of fame, I think its fair to throw a fan or two in there if they out right earned it. With over 10,000 balls, its safe to say Zack is a VERY special fan. Also, it'll give people incentive to become super fans, to try and do something that's almost impossible to do. I think its good for the game. Just my opinion. PS: Not saying that they should give it out right and left to fans, but I'm ONLY talking about very special occasions, like Zack.

Petco Park is an amazing ball park. You would think the Padres would be sold out but not that many people go, but that's good cuz better odds for catching balls. I'm used to how chaotic the Giants park is.

Definitely a wonderful place to experience a game. I've from Las Vegas and took my family to a game there a few years ago and guess who they were playing? The Rockies. Beautiful park and so much to see. Amazing in the sunlight and yet something almost trance like when the sun goes down. Really brings out the lighting of the park. Awesome awesome ball park

You should sneak to the AZ Fall league this month, they are minor league baseballs, but still almost every foul ball just hits seats because attendance is so low for the rookies. But for me it's baseball meca. Every spring training facility in AZ, super fun $8 to sit ANYWHERE!

ricardo guajardo the reason they asked bobby to stop was because he was recording the game and it's not allowed. zack has his cameraman record his action in batting practice, which is acceptable.
Next time you go to Petco, go by the main entrance (Park Blvd aka Trevor Hoffman Way) and check out the 3 story water feature and the retired numbers of Padre greats.
