disclaimer. If you mess up your deck, I am not responsible, do at your own risk. The same process is for the XDJ700s with the exception that there is a dial with an arrow that indicates Basically within service mode you can test the speed of the jogwheel, you have to spin the jogwheel a few times and on screen it indicates the speed rotations on it. NG means its out of spec, OK means its in spec. The base value is 100 and a range of +15 or -15 is the starting ground where you should be focused on. For example. If I did all of the following above, set my dial to -2, after spinning the jogwheel a few times within the service mode, it'll give me an average rotation number. That number has to be at any range of +15 or -15 of the base number 100. You do the same thing to the following deck and just try to match the numbers as close as possible. The service manual for the XDJ-1000 and XDJ-700 is readily available, just do some googling.
You should be able to do this through UTILITIES by holding down MENU and change Play Mode from "Continuous" to "Single". However, I've been having issues with this on the CDJ-3000 & XDJ-RX3. I'm still using Rekordbox 5.8.6 and haven't jumped to 6.6.3 yet. I'm assuming if I changed to RB6, that might fix it~
I have a RX2. I don't really like the loose feel of the jogwheels and don't get why pioneer left out the adjust control. Would there be a way to mechanically adjust those?
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure (regarding the All-In-Ones). I would like to hope so but I could be completely wrong. I'm kinda leaning towards not because (I think) those jogwheels aren't mechanical. I also saw someone ask this on PioneerDJ's website. Their response was "no" but I'm not sure if that's to deter people from opening up their XDJs~
Yeah, it's been bugging me for a while because I've always thought the XDJs would be fantastic with a Tension Adjust. It sucks that it's internal but at least it has one, right? As per the comment by @Concoursemusic, there's some calibration via service mode. I haven't messed with it but I'm sure that's something I'll have to get around to doing eventually. Since I've uploaded this video, I haven't had any issues (so far) but I also don't do anything too crazy on my jogwheels. I'd say, just be cautious when doing this (^-^)~
That's a great question. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure with controllers. I wasn't able to find anything in forums. Your best bet would be to hit up a local DJ-specific store if you have one in your area (I'm in Denver, CO and we have 2 that I can think of off the top of my head). Hope you find out because I'm curious as well~
If I'm being honest, I'm not entirely sure. Part of me wants to say "no" since the option to make adjustments is there. But you are taking it apart so there's that. My players have been out of warranty for a while so I didn't think about it. Best bet would be to reach out to PioneerDJ. My apologies, I couldn't provide a definitive answer~
@@mariosvario agreed. Like, I understand that they needed to cut costs somewhere but still...just a tad inconvenient. If they ever release a Mk.3, an accessible tension adjust would be nice to see~
I believe so since the jogwheels between the Mk.1 & Mk.2 are unchanged (I believe this this the same with older players as well going as far back to the CDJ-800). One thing i figured out while replacing my CUE button was that, for the feet, you don't have to remove the center screws. Just the ones that are off to the side of em~
Really great information in this! Thanks Botomaki!!
Thanks for checking it out! I can't be the only one who wanted a jog adjust on the XDJ-1000 so hopefully it's useful~
Thank you!
No Problem! Hope it was helpful~

Hi , what do you recommend for xdj 700 (tension of jog wheel) you seems to be really informative
Thanks a lot uploading this man, this is the one thing that has kept me from getting the XDJs. I'm assuming this can be done on the mk2s right?
No problem at all (^-^) This is the same with the Mk.2's as well. IF you go with the XDJ-700s, I believe it's a dial instead of a cog~
Nice dude / thank you so much 🙏
wtf...why am I finding this out 8-10yrs later anyone remember what year it was when these came out?
I believe the XDJ-1000 Mk.1 came out in late 2014
Do you know how to stop the auto playing ... can find it anywhere!

everyone loves it abit tighter ;)
You star been wondering if that was possible since I got mine

Is this working also for flx4?

You lose the warranty if you open the decks right?

That’s so stupid they didn’t provide the jog adjust dial on these. I love them, but that’s the only negative spot IMO

Do the XDJ-1000Mk2s also have this?
