My mum had an embarrassing moment when I was younger. Let me explain: So it was our first time at the aquatic centre, and there was a poop accident in the main pool area. And our 2nd time there I was laughing and I was like, "remember last time when someone pooped in the pool?" And she went "code brown" and at that very moment she said that, a Hispanic person walked past us and they rolled their eyes. And I told my mum and she went "yeah I feel so bad they thought I was saying something racist.." and she really wanted to apologize but they had already left. And shes still looking for the lady to apologize.
The hispanic lady will be okay, y’all didn’t do anything to her specifically, so therefore it’s in the past and maybe she’ll forget about it in the future. It won’t really matter if she does though. 🤷♀️
my community center has an indoor pool like this. But I can’t go 🥹 it’s super crowded and on top of that, the chlorine is so concentrated that my feet were burning to the poor that it made me sob. We had to buy a bottle of cold water from the vending machine and limp me to the car to pour it over my toes and soles. I wore sandals inside, but took them off to get into the water and to walk to the changing room. the entire place had puddles of sitting chlorine water so there was no way I could’ve avoided getting it on my feet and on my sandals. AND we had a false code brown that forced everyone to sit on the edge of the area for 30 minutes until they cleared it. miserable.

He didnt say anything or give away his bombardment (SBV) plans . Cousin calmly walks up to lifeguard & says only ," fwush" then walked to his Mom & said the same . Only ,she knew what her son's developing speech was saying ;" flush thr log, Mom, i poo'ed" they said the occupants of the pool have never evacuated a hole as fast as 43 persons exited that pool that day . We still call cousin Michael," Floop" to this day

The reason they rope off the pools is because there is poop in them from younger kids. When I was two, I pooped in that exact kids area. I love great wolf lodge in grapevine, I go every year.
As a life guard we were expected to clean poop and vomit from pools regularly and the parents wouldn’t even tell us let alone help, when their child pooped or threw up in the pool
Once I was at great wolf lodge and I was in the lazy river (and at the time I was like 6) and then I like was laying and I looked under me and I saw like a huge piece of poop and like I told one of the guards and they were like not surprised. And this is my quote from the experience “someone got a little to lazy in the lazy river” -six year old me
The one in orange County CA closes the pool at least 3 times a day, and they say its because someone poops, but it's not true. We go there a lot, and believe me, I've never seen the poop. I think the workers just want to take a break from that area.
I used to work at a YMCA as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Horrible conditions, safety hazards everywhere, disgusting facilities, and because they pretty much only hire teens in that field you can guess as to how we were treated. “We’ll treat you horrible because you won’t be here long anyways” not even allowed to use the bathroom and even told to not let the kids I was training go to the bathroom, but I mainly handled toddlers…..yeah….
That happened in the wave pool when we went too. The sheer amount of chlorine they dumped in after had me choking on air and I was competitive swimmer and diver for 7 years.
Worked at a waterpark, code browns are fairly common. I’d say they happened maybe once or twice a week. You’d just have to hope it was solid poop, since then it would be easier to clean. If it was a loose poop, god the kiddie area would be closed for 30-45 minutes. It happens, they followed standard procedures to clean and sanitize the area. Water parks typically pump their water full of enough chemicals to kill all those germs, so it probably went through the filter system before opening.
Imagine you go to an indoor waterpark and it says it’s closed because of weather. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Edit: one time when i was doing a google doc it autocorrected dinner to diarrhea. 😂😂😂
Lifeguard here: yeah it happens sometimes 😭 it has to be scooped out and even once it’s scooped out, you have to wait a certain timeframe (at my pool usually half an hour) depending on the chlorine levels until it’s safe to swim again. Also they probably just used the inclement weather sign because they couldn’t find it don’t have a more appropriate closed sign

As a life guard we were expected to clean poop and vomit from pools regularly and the parents wouldn’t even tell us let alone help, when their child pooped or threw up in the pool
Once I was at great wolf lodge and I was in the lazy river (and at the time I was like 6) and then I like was laying and I looked under me and I saw like a huge piece of poop and like I told one of the guards and they were like not surprised. And this is my quote from the experience “someone got a little to lazy in the lazy river” -six year old me
This a why they say to wear a swim diaper and a pair of rubber pants for little ones. 🤷♀️

Just went 2 months ago and had a blast with the kids. The bowling was not the bowling we expected but at least there wasn't any poop in the water park
The one in orange County CA closes the pool at least 3 times a day, and they say its because someone poops, but it's not true. We go there a lot, and believe me, I've never seen the poop. I think the workers just want to take a break from that area.
I used to work at a YMCA as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Horrible conditions, safety hazards everywhere, disgusting facilities, and because they pretty much only hire teens in that field you can guess as to how we were treated. “We’ll treat you horrible because you won’t be here long anyways” not even allowed to use the bathroom and even told to not let the kids I was training go to the bathroom, but I mainly handled toddlers…..yeah….

That happened in the wave pool when we went too. The sheer amount of chlorine they dumped in after had me choking on air and I was competitive swimmer and diver for 7 years.

Worked at a waterpark, code browns are fairly common. I’d say they happened maybe once or twice a week. You’d just have to hope it was solid poop, since then it would be easier to clean. If it was a loose poop, god the kiddie area would be closed for 30-45 minutes.
It happens, they followed standard procedures to clean and sanitize the area. Water parks typically pump their water full of enough chemicals to kill all those germs, so it probably went through the filter system before opening.

Lifeguard here: yeah it happens sometimes 😭 it has to be scooped out and even once it’s scooped out, you have to wait a certain timeframe (at my pool usually half an hour) depending on the chlorine levels until it’s safe to swim again.
Also they probably just used the inclement weather sign because they couldn’t find it don’t have a more appropriate closed sign

As a mother I don't understand how you check out from having kids at a place like this. Let alone checking out to where you aren't at least checking on your little one(s) to make sure they have potty breaks.
