Mikrokosmos was the last song BTS performed on stage before the pandemic hit. Of course, at the time, they had no way of knowing that, but that's one of the many reasons why ARMY gets so emotional about it. The lyrics were terribly, heartbreakingly prophetic and yet also hopeful.

I just have to say this. One of the things ( among the many) that I LOVE about these guys is when they are filming on stage during concerts. They don't just film from the perception of the audience watching-and making you feel like just an onlooker and they are above you. The boys hold cameras and go pros and have cameras on stage that show the audience from their point of view which truly makes you feel like your up there with them experiencing ARMY WITH ARMY. Like your standing up there with them and it's not a shock. Love that. There maybe be a literal distance between us but emotionally there isn't.

BTS first caught my attention with their dancing, as I myself is a dancer. To be completely honest, while the dancing was spectacular, I didn’t enjoy the music too much at the beginning, since hyped, energetic style of music isn’t usually my cup of tea. (I kept listening to songs like Mic Drop and IDOL since the hard core songs are usually the ones with the intricate choreography, while the softer songs like Stay Gold and Mikrokosmos are performed w/o choreography) But about 1 month in to watching choreography videos of BTS, I stumbled upon this, MIKROKOSMOS. That was it. This was the game changer. I loved how listening to this - the melody, the lyrics…. I love how listening to this makes me feel something warm inside my heart even on the crappiest of days.
Truly a special song. Their voices and the lyrics are so comforting. One star may not shine as bright but bring millions of stars together and the sky will surely shine. This is the song they ended all of their love yourself speak yourself concerts with. They specifically had it end with fireworks because they wanted army to focus on the fireworks and not them leaving the stage for the last time and feeling sad. It’s such a touching song to begin with, but with that context, I can’t listen to this song without tearing up
