It's a difficult piece, and very few guitarists get it right. My enduring impression of Diaz is that he usually played at a frantic tempo. This is possibly the worst version by a notable guitarist, and definitely a piece he should have let pass. But who comes even close to Bream?
Really awful. I studied with when he was assistant to Segovia in Sienna 1962. Never quite understood why he became so successful. He was a very nice man but essentially a street musician.
It’s very noticeable that audio is slightly ahead of the video. But quality of audio is great- enough to appreciate one of best guitar masters.
