I was excited to run across this video!
My paternal ancestors (named Pierce) were 1st cousins to Wm. Green Russell, and members of the Russell Party, that first arrived, and discovered gold in Auraria. They also gave the community its name. It was (sentimentally) named after the community of Aurora, Georgia, where they were from. Both town names mean the same thing...

Like most downtown cities in the US mostly ruined by taking out street cars to make way for cars and highways. US cities used to be almost like European cities downtown until the 50s.

People WANT to drive their own cars. Colorado is spending most available transportation money on light rail that only 2% of the residents use. Consequently, the roads are beat up and congested. European cities are NOTHING like US cities. Housing here is spread out. The suburbs almost reach the Wyoming border. You aren't going to force people to take public transportation. What kind of car do you have?

No photos of early construction specifically all of the amazing brick/block buildings. Something just isn't adding up with our history. If you guys have any photos of pre 1900 building construction I would be interested to see them.

Not much of a shared campus anymore. Metro and CU denver are working as hard as they can to differentiate from eachother.

Of course it was "sacred" I have yet to hear of a place that was not sacred.
