I made one for a friend who has two small people, I just primed it and let her get the small ones to paint the thing. They did a good job, used about 10 different colours so its very 'busy' looking.
Lovely job. Reminded me of when I was a child and my carpenter/joiner uncle would make us (me and my brother & sister) things, memorable was the wonderful dolls house with working lights!
Great build. Thanks for sharing. When I was a child (read: 50 years ago) girls around the age of 4 - 10 would love to have such a play kitchen. I'm afraid, now they prefer a tablet or a smartphone. It can be a nice item to make and sell if people were interested in it.
Hi, I also live in the UK but I seldom use Screwfix or B&Q as I find them too expensive. As well as the two aforementioned sops I have a ToolStation and find them cheaper. However, Screwfix is useful because ToolStation is poor on descriptions, so I will find the item I want, take note of the exact name and then order it from ToolStation, It may not be fair to the other shops but it is better for my pocket. Love your videos and keep them coming. I was interested in your local wood reclamation center, I have not come across anything like that and as I only live about 15 miles from you, I would like to take a look at this place, so if you could let me know the postcode I would be thankful. I also use a plug cutter but getting them out with a screwdriver is problematic as they seem to break off at odd angles, so I use the bandsaw to cut them out, this has an added bonus as you can then use the rest of the board to cut more plugs, this can be advantageous if you are using expensive wood for the project.
I use Toolstation a lot. I could not find a plug cutter set from them. thewoodpile.org This is the place I go to. Its a great place. I might see you there. I have seen the bandsaw trick and will have to try that.
@Robert Harris Hi Robert, As I said, I always buy from ToolStation but trying to find the parts is sometimes very annoying if you don't know the exact name of the thing you want. I have put a vague description into ScrewFix and it has come up with the thing I want and I just copy the correct name and search for it on ToolStation and I then can find it, but what I would like is to cut ScrewFix out and just be able to find the things on ToolStation without having to have the exact name.
I’ve built a few of these in a similar style, although admittedly not as nice. I was selling them at £65 a pop. I think people were happier to pay a price like that rather than spend in excess of a tonne on a fancy one only to have the kids cover it in dirt on its first outing.
At the time of writing this 4 people disliked this video, I can't believe that anyone actually disliked this video, what could be better than a grandfather making something for his grandchildren
@@Badgerworkshop I know you can't please everyone but sometimes it feels as though some people are just being Dicks. I guess that I will have to expect this when I start a channel

They do seem to be popular at the moment
What are the dimensions?
Lovely job Matt 👍. Does that chalkboard paint need a varnish or similar topcoat (ie won’t it run in the rain)?
No it is fine outside.
thats rather adorable, js

You should not hang the spoons above the "stove", you might get burnt.
I will be carful
Good work mate looks great bet uncle Matt will be getting loads of mud pies now for tea
Thank you. Yes lucky me
👍👍👍
Thank you
I’ve got a feeling this is going to get loads of views, well done! P.S where do you get the cheap broom handles from??
I hope so. I got them from ToolStation as normally the are 4 foot but they also sell 5 foot ones.
@@Badgerworkshop Not from old brooms? How much do you pay for them?
Do you mind if I ask where you got the bowl and accessories from please?
Either amazon or eBay
