- In our fourth vlog from our June 2016 Europe Mega-Trip, we visit Movie Park Germany for the first ever time! The park is home to 6 roller coasters, along with a fantastic selection of indoor, water and flat rides. Movie Park Germany also has some fantastic entertainment, including the parade and the spectacular Crazy Cops New York Stunt Show! Join us as we review the park for the first time, along with taking you along for the ride on the parks awesome selection of attractions!

Under WB brand Mystery River was "A never ending story". The theming of the ride really suffered under the re-branding. Back then it was one of my favorite rides of the park. The whole park suffered under the re-branding though.
Car stunt show looks amazing! My little boy would love it!
MUUUGS. Also it was perfect timing that when you revealed the huge wall of mugs, the Dinosaur soundtrack started playing in the background

Movie Park definitely looks better than I expected and Van Helsing's Factory looks amazing too.

Ah I wish they would have kept the Neverending Story ride, you can tell they kept a lot of the theming in the Mystery River ride that replaced it... Love your vlogs! Can't wait to see the complete Asia 2017 trip!

Good vlog as always....been enjoying these all. I cannot believe you guys have not gone to Cedar point yet in Ohio USA.
This year a rollercoaster named 'Looping Star' will run its last rides in Slagharen (Netherlands). The coaster is from 1979 it is said that it will close in September. Youre last chance for this credit has arrived.
It is closed already i thougt, at least thats What they say at looopings.

I loved Toverland one of my little gems ofthe theme park euro trip last year troy and dwervel wind
first of all, very nice reviews. very detailed and like the various opinions from both you and your friends.
Second, you said in the video that you will be there during the halloween season. I would realy advice you to get the best fastpass you can buy. Last time we went there with halloween it was so crowded, that without the passes we could only do 3 atractions and one haunted house during the entire day. And sadly that, both with the overflowing garbagebins kind of ruiend the park for us.
Hope you guys will enjoy the expirence a bit more than we did.

To say that the SLC has an exact same layout as the extremely rough one at Walibi Holland, it is weird that this one is relatively smooth according to you. haha
Just another perfect Vlog, very nice. Just went there a week ago, first time since 1999 and I really enjoyed it. And the mug rig just blew me away just like you. Never seen such a mug collection in a theme park. Which one did you get?

Love the vid! Is the MP Xpress exactly the same as El Condor, or are there slight differences (besides the smoothness)?
MP Xpress is 33m high and El Conder 31m. MP Xpress is also 27m longer. But you don't feel any differences beside the smoothness.

Hidden gem of a park. I'm surprised it didn't get the gate figures as a Walibi park, Heide Park or a Hansa Park. Yes areas needed work, like parts of the family area needed themed up a little bit more, the volcano needed updates and Bandit may benefit from having sections of it retracked by GCI and articulated trains added.
I think a trackless dark ride would go down well at this park
they actually built a new paw patrol section in the Nick area, completely refurbished the volcano in 2019, and replaced the Ice Age ride with an indoor coaster similar to Van Helsing (themed to a studio tour), so there you go^^. the river rapids got a refurb as well.
Bandit was re-tracked, and they stated in an interview that it will never be RMCd, wich is sad, but understandable. Its also germanys first modern wooden coaster, so the should to be protected as it is i think.
I still love Bandit tho, especially because its that rough. One of my favourite rides there, even tho its so old.
BUT they did build a multi-launch coaster themed to Star Trek that really makes up for it.
I think the only rides the park needs to get rid of are the SLC and Time Riders. I love time riders for the nostalgia but it just didnt hold up that good.
Yea a wild west shoutout dark ride would be amazing in this park
Magnus colossus at Terra Mitica in Benidorm is probably the roughest coaster in the world. You should visit that park sometime 😉

1- Movie Park Germany was owned by Warner Bros until 1999, and was named Warner Bros Movie World until 2004. After this year, they lost all the WB licenses.
2- The Mystery River was formerly themed on "the Neverending Story" film, did you notice this?
3- Ice Age Adventure was Looney Tunes Adventure during the WB period.

Van Helsing wasn't the Gremlins ride. The Gremlins Ride was in the same building. Since they lost the licenses, they had to close it... in 2011 the ride itself was removed and the coaster was buildt inside the building.

as many wrote, it's god a bad rep cause they lost their license and failed to come up with new themes/renew their attractions. Time Riders used to be Batman, Ice Age was Looney Tunes, Van Helsing was Gremlins, Mystery River was The Never-ending Story (amazing how much you recognise once you know that) and so on, so it's kinda lost its glory. It is usually way busier, I guess you got a lucky day. They're finally trying to get back on their feet, especially their Halloween Fest is really good, so I guess they'll survive. Sad to see how much changes once you lose a lot of money though.

The reason that kid thought Bandit was rougher than you guys thought it was was because he sat in the back of the car which was right over the wheel. It can really make a huge difference in the smoothness.
I guess Mart was sat over the wheels for it to be so much rougher for him? I remember riding Jaguar in America once - it was smooth on my first ride, then in the same train on a reride just one row back it was soooo rough
Glad you enjoyed the park. A few years ago, when the name was stil Warner Bros Movie World, it was a LOT better. The rapid was called Never Ending Story, yes same as the movie. Back then it was so much better. You also had the Lethal Weapon duelling coaster; indoor and outdoor with really nice credits such as burning cars flying over your head, you should watch some onrides on RUclips.

I think bandiet has got a retrack !! When i was on 2 years ago, is was the roughest coaster i ever bin on by far !!!!!
It still is. My son rode it on monday. Headache of hell! Do not ride it. I think the main problem are the trains.

The Mystery river used to be themed like the Never Ending Story, but because the new owners of the park didn't own the rights, they sadly enough had to re-theme it.

Watching the vlog (great as usual!) but want to correct the statement about 'why doesn't the park get the numbers' - it does! It's a very successful park, one of the best performers in the Parques Reunidos group. Just an FYI :)

with woodies its all about the wheel seats vs non-wheel seats. shawn was in a non-wheel seat, martin was in a wheel seat, that's why the difference in experience. so if its a 3 row car always go for the middle for the best ride. as coaster experts you guys should know this by now.
It also depends on what the person is used to in terms of other rides!
gerstlauer seems to handle family coasters much better than thrill coasters

Never was in Heide Park but you have to try the Hansa Park! I was there last year. It was awesome! They got a new rollercoaster "Schwur des Kärnan" you probably heard about it ^^
