Please let me know if it helps (love your user name!): Turn AutoConnect on or off Click the File tab, and then click Options. In Visio Options, click Advanced. Under Editing options, select Enable AutoConnect to activate AutoConnect. Or clear that check box to deactivate AutoConnect. Click OK. Good luck!

How did you click on the shapes to give you the auto line and shape suggestions. i tried it but could not just figure it out.
