As a non-gamer, my comment is based only on real games I watch…. so maybe it’s irrelevant to gaming…. but one difference I see is that these players are all cool as cucumbers. Not enough hot heads, roughhousing and shenanigans. The emotional challenge is part of what makes a game unpredictable - can a team keep it together and get the job done as a whole? Video games are too clean, not enough messiness that create uncertainties like in the real world. Not sure if this is something that can even be captured in a video game, if it can even be controlled on sliders, but game makers should incorporate the emotional aspect of sports. IMO. I suppose it rests on the gamer - is the gamer keeping it together and playing the game right? I wonder if the gamer’s emotional state can even be conveyed not just through missed shots but other mistakes like fights and other violations.
I agree, we need fights in 2k lol. Players do have personality badges that affect their performance, development and contract demands. And every player has either "expressive, "laid back" or "unpredictable" which affects how they react to certain plays and foul calls. But it's not a very dramatic influence. Also, pretty sure most of the players on the bulls are laid back lol.
@@slidingcatch Ah, interesting that the human side is incorporated. I mean, when it’s playoffs, the tension is very high (and infectious to the audience). Like players arguing with refs and stuff. It’d be interesting (for me anyway) to see drama is all I’m saying, if a video game is to be as realistic as possible…. in addition to the cool and funny shots, etc.
@@R_H21 agreed, the main difference is the crowd is louder for playoff games and the fans all wear the same color shirt. but even then the intensity is lacking and crowd reactions are delayed. NBA Live games always executed atmosphere much better than 2k. Although 2k wins in every other aspect.
Another great video from Sliding Catch!
Super tense game, cant believe it
BBQ chicken alert?? Lololol

@@slidingcatch Yup, that’s it in a nutshell - atmosphere.
