nice car ,thank you for showing us . I usually race magnet free but sometimes run my Carrera cars with the centre magnet left in ,.greetings from northern Europe. ...Harry
Damn Tom, when you said they’re loose on the track, you weren’t kidding, I have 2 revoslot cars, but have only ran them on my policar track, they don’t slide around like that, but they tip over real easy 😂 I don’t have magnets in mine either
@@tomsidener I haven’t done any tuning on them yet, I have the Datsun 510, and ford escort, they’re a little top heavy anyway compared to the viper and corvette. They also jump out of the slot if I gun it, need to experiment with some weight, body float and so on. Just need to find the time to do it
Tom, Have you considered making your own tires. I make my own tires for my non- magnet cars with Shore 30 urethane by Smoothe-On. They grip my plastic track very well thus lessoning the frustration level and making for a more pleasurable driving experience. In the case of my Carrera cars I had no choice since no one makes the tires for my older Carrera cars. In the case of my cars and some of the older rubber Carrera used the tires just disintegrated. In the future I plan on getting a 3D printer and printing molds for my slot car tires.
I watched a video of a guy make wheels for AFX cars recently. I plan to try and make some tires. I have worked with smooth on products in the past. Usually hard resins.
It does have an odd front end but I found a picture of the original vehicle and it looks pretty much the same. I think revoslot did a good job of duplicating the specific car.

If you round off the outside edge of the tires, that will help with the tipping over.

Cool.@@tomsidener
Looks horrible! The front looks like a Supra and the doors back look like a viper 😂😂😂
