E60 N54 Nation lets go! This is the exact setup i want when i finally get my E60🤤 X-drive too!
Bro I’m saying, I got my E60 535i XDrive 6MT a lil’ over half a year ago and I still wanna get a set up real similar to his haha. That’s a lot of work though what they’ve done with the car, replacing turbos and oil pan gaskets n all that seems kinda intimidating. It’s awesome to know they did this though, it’s possible.

@@austinmerrival927 I have the same car, did maintenance, full bolt ons , hybrid turbos and a custom tune by Twisted Tuning, I've been driving it like I just bought it for over 2 years now and it's been awesome.
@@abeluciousdid you upgrade your inlets? I’ve heard that even the 1.75” won’t fit properly on the e chassis
@@tenaciousjeebs Yes i did, it's a little tight but they fit, i had to use zip ties to keep the front one from touching the pulleys.

Dude your killing it. Again, as with the exhaust - exactly on track with executing your upgrades. I think the mmp stg3 are the way to go. Strait td04s. But 43mm. And that nice manifold. Thanks for giving an e60 xi some real love!

How long did it take to do all the work?
Probably 3 working days total not rushing. 1 for front subframe removal, 1 for turbos and oil pan reseal, and 1 for subframe and front end reassembly. That’s for a first timer in the garage. If you had a full lift it would be quicker.

Hi bro i have a 2008 bmw 535xi and i replaced the valve cover gasket and the oil filter housing gasket but when i do a pull on 2nd gear the car smoke from exhaust blue smoke this usually to happen when i stop in the red light for a while and go forward on 2nd gear this probably my turbos? Help

Did it bolt right up? because most of the aftermarket turbos I have seen have said the charge pipe and rear turbo return coolant line needs to be converted to LHD 335i. Was that the case for you?
Hybrid turbos are exactly that, a hybrid. They use stock turbo housings with better internals. The stock turbos you use to build hybrid turbos, will change what they fit on.
If you buy 335i hybrid turbos then, yes, you need to modify things to fit. If you use 535i hybrid turbos then they are direct fit.

Did you have to bend/notch your front down pipe or did it install without modification? I just bought some and mine does not have the notch for the axle housing but I bought one for and xdrive 535.
VRSF sells downpipes with the notch specific for X Drive 535

How did you get the paddles? did you have to retro fit a wheel ?
Yes it’s a sport steering from a 550i. Retrofit info is available. Search “E60 paddle shift retrofit”
How have they held up so far? N how many miles? Love the 60
Over 5000 miles. Zero issues. Can’t recommend Pure enough. You will save money in the long run doing it right once.

I just bought basically the same car, how much are these worth? I got mine for $500 with 135,000 miles all stock.
With these turbos do you need an external bov?
No, but you risk blowing up your stock plastic charge pipe. I would upgrade your charge pipe with a bov, as preventative maintenance.
How much time it was to get all the work done? Im thinking of upgrading turbos on mine too , but mine is not xdrive , mine is rwd
It was about two working days, not rushing and being a complete beginner. Now I could easily do the job in about 4 hours. RWD is easier than X drive. I could see a beginner finishing a RWD car in 1 working day easily.

Yes! I used the Hutchinson mounts

Did your E60 have a power steering line running through the sub frame? My Rwd had a line that runs through the subframe passenger side
There a some power steering lines that are bolted to the subframe but none of mine went through it. You can disconnect the lines and steering shaft and drop the steering rack with the subframe.
looking at a e60 n54. is it a good daily?
Yes! I daily’d mine for over a year before modding. Better options and more comfortable than the 3 series.

stock trans ?
Yes stock trans. I’ve done the trans service and it’s on a stage 3 XHP trans tune.
What it is the best for n54 a bigg turbo(cea6266) or two turbos
Depends on your power goals. Twins are usually maxed around 600-700hp. Single turbo setups are capable of 1000hp. Also AWD vs RWD makes a difference. I opted for twins to fit X Drive.

@@EHOONS does thw E60 535Xi come in manual? Its hard to find the RWD in manual but the X drive appears to be a full blown unicorn. And does anybody do high performance rebuilds on the ZF6HP if i cant get manual as an option? Thanks and keep up the great content
Yes the 535xi manual exists. It’s definitely rare but they’re out there. There are 6hp rebuild kits and upgraded clutches available. There is also a 6hp swap from the diesel 335d that can hold big power.
