    I consume a lot of van build videos. This rear storage is one of the best I’ve seen. I also have not ever seen anyone execute an 80/20 roof rail system like that. Very cool build with some unique ideas which is refreshing when everything feels like copy and paste at this point.

      It’s great right! It’s perfect for couples that sometimes travel alone and don’t need such a big bed but would rather have the open space. Or I wondered if he made the mattress so that it can also fit the isle way? That would be great if traveling with grandkids. I wonder if that track system can hold a hammock? If so I’m freaking sold! I’m glad to see that he rounded the corners on the lower furniture but that overhead cabinet looks like it’s gonna do damage. If he could do some soft upper storage, that would be perfect! I’d have it across my feet and above the kitchen for dry goods.

    very nice tour... I am surprised he didn't have some of the options mounted to that track... My first time seeing that in a video... If they don't have this option yet (a tv arm/mount) to attach the track , would be an easy way to add/move a tv anywhere where there is a plug nearby..

  • @nelson2095
    @nelson2095 Год назад +2

    I love the 'minimalist' and simplistic design concept of this build. Like the builder, I'm not big on clutter. I always live by the saying 'everything has a place and a place for everything'. So this build would be the one I would do. What caught my attention is the overhead railing which provides flexibility that other builds don't have. The thought given when it comes to accessibility is amazing. The logical and modular way it was design show the builder's undertanding of the basic long term need of a vanlifer. Having a base concept such as this, provides clients with something to start with that they can tweak and modify to suit their need. really neat.
    Thank you for this video Jarrod, it's awesome.

By using self-closing drawer hardware every drawer latches closed every time with just one push. Glad you enjoyed the build and see the beauty in it we do!

    I want to say "Nifty", certainly has a clean, uncluttered look/feel to it. Love the thoughtfulness that went into it.
    I just purchased an older Kia Sorento and hope to potentially make a good over-landing rig with it - not for serious off-roading, obviously - just camp-able with lots of comforts and much cheaper than a van-build. Money saved on the build and on fuel could pay for a lot of Air Bnbs?

    • @venturhaus
      @venturhaus Год назад +1

      It is! It's quite ironic, there is nothing special to the build out in it, just a platform with space underneath. I had a van but missed the feeling of "camping" so I kept it simple. It was supposed to be a prototype to a more complex build but ultimately never pursued that.
      After three years with it I can say I love the simplicity of it, I can easily pull the set up out to pick up materials, it has a low clearance height that has taken me deeep down tight forest roads, and not to mention 4x4 and a $20,000.00 price tag. I do think I will be building another van for this winter season though

    Nice design. One question though. Can you put two conversion beds in the back with storage under the seating area? 30"wide by 72" long and the other one 30" wide by 65" long. Both with 21 inches tall with under seat storage. A mattress of 5" on top that can be turned into the conversion table/bed. I'm having troubles with the design. I really like the appearance of this van inside. Nicely done. But, I would never own a van with an outdoor shower and a potty that pulls out under my dining area. The person who can design a shower and toilet that are private wins for me. But, aside from those things, it is beautiful. If you were in a warm climate and remote area to shower outdoors, fine, but practically and privacy are more important to me.

      Check out the "Digital Nomad" on our website for a more private shower and potty set up! venturhaus.com/vans/ This van was specifically build to be as affordable as possible while including all of the amenities. Thank you for the kind words, we surly think its beautiful too!

      Totally agree absolutley, that’s the only thing and the main thing for me, I can do without a stove or really anything fancy, but I want a nice shower and washroom or toilet area, or something just more humane I suppose hehe. Other than that it’s incredible, I also always want to know how the toilet works, so you have to empty it or does it empty itself, same with the sink etc.
