Hy, first at all excuse my bad english, what can u say to me about this sub? I want to buy this subwoofer, but unfortunattely i cant test it,because the owner isnt t from my town..so...is that sub enough powerfull for an 25 square metre living? I have in my room the logitech z5500, if u know it, so how is the base at this sub? It s like z5500 s? Boomy, powerfull, club like? Or it s a different type of bass, low frequency bass,?
Claudiu George it's gonna be much better than your Logitech for sure but it is a sealed small sub so it's definitely not going to sound like a club. sealed subs are very sensitive agile and smooth. it'd a very musical sub that works as well at low volumes as it does at max volume which is what makes it great, on the other hand it is still a small sub so it wouldn't be appropriate for large rooms. I run this in my bedroom and it's fantastic and I love its gentle mellow tone especially how clear it is at low volumes, I have a media room where I have two 10 inch sealed velodyne subs which of course fill up a room twice as big much better with headroom to spare. being sealed they also sound fantastic regardless of the volume since sealed subs are just consistent and nimble like that but if you really want something like a club sound, clubs use ported subs where the sound comes from both the front of the driver and from the back of the driver resonating via the box tubing frequency for a low end boost and the two sources of sound are summed. this isn't as clean and consistent of a sound but it does sound much louder although the box has to be much bigger.
the subwoofer is great for a small to medium sized room and is cool due to its unique placement options. it's definitely not as good as the speakers themselves though which rival the ls50s. kef used them as a stepping stone to prototype the upcoming blade and ls50, the blade being much more expensive to build and priced while the 3001SEs are more expensive to produce which is why they sound so much better than even their successor the E301 E301s ruclips.net/video/5oXnR7dWxpw/видео.html Active E301s ruclips.net/video/j4iJedYf-Pk/видео.html same song on the 3001SE: ruclips.net/video/R9HqKd5Y7Q4/видео.html if you'd have gotten the 2001s, e301, or the active EGGs you'd be impressed by the ls50 or even the q150s which sound pretty similar, just a bit boomier on the bass. If you happened to get the 3001SEs and heard the ls50s or new Q bookshelves you'd be confused and disappointed. Reviewers are pairs and given notes to always claim newer is better but it definitely isn't always the case.
What is the diference between the KHT3001SE and the KHT3005SE or are they the same?
