thanks you so much Ponshankar Palanivel, i am trying to get this done from long back but always ended up with something going wrong. this video really help me to get the work done.
hi Ponshankar Palanivel, when ever we edit and saving its creating a new row in the google sheet not over writing in the existed column. is there any way to get this functionality
Hi Phanindra.. By default the data would be appended in the google sheet.. it is a free version and hence the customizations are very limited.. However, as a suggestion you can flag the rows and filter it during data blending..
Thank you very much for watching my video!! Given the free version of write back I demonstrated, I don't think it can be done straightaway. However, you can manage your requirement by using data blending and few basic calculations based on the ask. Hope this helps !!
It is not available in the free version of the extension I demonstrated. However, there is a commercial version of write back that is available by the same developer. I would have indicated it in the video. It can be used to integrate with database. There are some free demos they provide in the form of pre configured Tableau workbooks with write back to database extension. Please have a look. Thank you.
Thank you so much Ponshankar . I am doing it same . I am using one dirive url insted of Google spreadsheet. I am getting error when send the data. Error getting like There was an error while sending the data.. could please help me where is problem
Hi , Ponshankar. Thanks for sharing this info. I was trying to follow your steps and just found the configuration window is different from yours, I just don't have that Google thing. Maybe because of different version?
@@ponshankarpalanivel Hi, you're right, it works with the free version. And when I was trying to change the data and sent that back to Google sheets, it just added one more row instead of change the previous row on Google sheets. Is there any way to change this setting? Thanks

Hi, so every time I open workbook again, the comment I added gets removed. How to save that comment? Also, do you have any information about the paid version of WriteBack also? Thanks.
