HAHAHAHAH okay; i thought it was just me that my eldritch blast was missing so much! I believed that i was doing something wrong! that 95% really did turn into 50/50 lol! i mean i almost died to some alive brains so i am clearly having the time of my life! :)
Gale is indeed great. My mom has a huge crush on him. She was devastated when we watched Good Omens together and she learned that Tim Downie doesn't actually look like that.

@@KieKey yes, therefore my highest favour was to knock the burning sword off from his opponent (and snatch it away for me) thus making him use his fists instead to beat the mindflayer's hideous face into a pulp.
@@KieKey lv1 Shadowheart has a spell already ('Command') and it shows a 55% success chance when used on Zhalk. you need to prepare this spell though. she has other spells prepared when she joins your party on the ship.
Heya, I hope you continue your run. Watching peoples first run is always fun :) You've done quite well this far. Now a few minor tips, and some information: 1. Reread how hex works, you are not using it's full potential. The stat behind it isn't about what modifier you use, it's about what modifier you hex on their character. And casting hex should be done before casting eldritch blast. 2. Since you are being masochistic and doing an honour mode run on your first time.. remember that you can get away from dire situations by getting distance from the enemies and pressing the 'flee combat' button 3. Focus fire to end one opponent is better than getting three low. A dead enemy can't attack you. 4. 1d4 means 1 dice of 4 sides(guidance adds 1-4 bonus points), 2d8 would be 2 dice of 8 side(which would add a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 16) 5. Look out for things in your environment you can use to your advantage. Sometimes rocks/ropes/statues/braziers can be destroyed and land on people. Good luck ♥

@@KieKey The flee button is red near the bottom right, but you can't click it until you are far enough away! A few more tips if you want: 1. The turn order bar at the top of your screen is worth keeping in mind as well. If two of your characters have their turn without an enemy turn inbetween you can swap between them and decide who goes first. 2. Read up on what items you have, some are REALLY good. 3. The game is so bad at conveying it(and I thought the same thing on my first playthrough), but the tadpole isn't a ticking timebomb within the game mechanics, so feel free to use long rests. Though it costs a lot of food, so remember to pick up what you find.
You seem to be doing pretty good for a new player. I will say though that armor of Agathys is good. If you dont happen to like your class choices you can reset your options from an NPC later you can do this and you can do it for the companions as well. Somehow you figured out that Divination wizard is powerful. Portent is a really good ability.

@KieKey the mechanics are kind if like seeing the future. You already have portent on gale because he's a Divination wizard. It allows you to replace attack rolls and saving throws. You want extremes the high dice go to allies and the low dice you use on enemies. I'd argue low dice are more powerful because there's very few ways to lower enemy saves otherwise. You can use it on attacks but you really want to use the low dice on saves. It's better in baldurs gate than in d and d proper and it's Amazing there also. baldurs gate 3 it's a reaction which is a mega buff because you will always know when it will help on top of having way more per day. In d and d proper you don't roll you simply say they get a _. To illustrate how good this is in baldurs gate 3 an enemy rolls a critical save the portent wizard can say nope I forsaw this you roll a 6 failing that roll. As a new player you may not realize how powerful that is but trust me getting a near guaranteed fail of a saving throw is powerful because it doesn't even have to be an effect from gale and failing some saves are incredibly bad.
@@embreis2257@embreis2257 unfortunately my motherboard or some sort of hardware issue, blue screen of death and is saying unable to locate boot drive plus insert boot media (though i have 3 seperate drives i can use). Nothing that hopefilly cant be sorted within the next few days or so
