- Bilingual versions of the classic SS segment featuring a little man demonstrating A words prior to being buried under an avalanche and carted away in an ambulance!
(Notice that four A words in the English rendition - apple, apron, arrow, and ashcan - have been substituted in the Spanish version due to differences in translation.)

The four different words in Spanish were albaricoque (apricot), alfombra (carpet),
arpón (harpoon) and armadura (armor).
That's right, carpet and harpoon do not begin with the letter A
@@jarrediusayer6555 The English version had an apron and an arrow.
@@caroldefender4144Yeah, and the Spanish version had an apricot and an armor
I find these Spanish Sesame Street things fascinating, because I saw them when I was 3 years old back in 1973 and couldn't make heads-or-tails out of them because I wasn't raised in a bilingual home, which was the purpose of having them. I had a year of college Spanish, and I have found it useful to see these Spanish things now because I pick up words I didn't already know. One thing that I didn't realize when I saw this as a little kid is that the man got hurt by the avalanche and that was the reason for the ambulance picking him up.
Apple.. that’s a very delicious fruit that’s red or yellow or green on the outside and white inside. You can eat it whole or peeled or even put them in pies. I prefer the sweet ones like ambrosia or gala
Accordion sometimes known as a squeeze box
I have no idea if that is Jim Thurman's voice.
I think it is...
@@jellymcmichaels4240 Or perhaps it might be Bob Arbogast.
It is indeed Jim Thurman, yes.
