I've watched the entire run, and I've been blown away by how skilled you are, congratulations on the record !
Something I've been wondering, it feels like you're clearing a lot of rooms (if not all rooms) thourgh sheer memorisation. Is it just an appearance ? How far would you say you've memorised each and every room (and especially the transitions) by doing them over and over again ?
Every room is done through memorisation. There are too many specific and intricate tricks in this game to improvise and a lot of the strats are very precise and require lots of dedicated practice. If you want a pretty extreme example then here is a video of me hitting one of the hardest strats over and over again: ruclips.net/video/7N6yNQK4egI/видео.html
Not all strats will require this level of practice but every room is memorised and every room is practiced a ton.
@@Isaactayy Thanks for answering ! That's pretty much what I guessed, there are quite a few rooms where I was like "no way he sightread that", like the vertical one at 52:03. I feel it's one of the few drawbacks of zero-randomness games ; as they get more optimized, speedruns end up relying more on memorisation. It has been (and still is) a more and more prevalent issue with professional chess, notably.
Still, I'm one of these people who like banging their hand against the same hurdle again and again, until I'm confident I can clear it first try consistently, so I like that kind of challenge as well ! It must feel great seeing all that practice come to fruition !

the multiboost is done by just holding right and doing 3 quick climbjumps

Spamming the Brazilian flag became a bit of a meme a while back due to a Brazilian runner, Pedroneves027, having a funny PB sound with trumpets during a tournament race, so people started spamming Brazilian flag and trumpet emojis for pbs
Just wondering, but would it be possible to save a bit of time at 0:53 by doing a dash and doing a cboost?
yes but its a really tight input if you want to get it to save time as you have to do it on the way up from the spring bounce
49:01 does anyone know a setup for that demo, is it just full jump, up dash then right demo?
Yeah it’s a full height jump, dash up at the top of the jump, then right demo at the top of the up dash

why do you collect the 1a heart? i keep rewatching that part but i dont see where it saves time over just dashing back to the platform
you need 4 hearts to enter core at the end of the run

It skips waiting for the heart to fade out so it saves a bit of time

It’s just the rules of the category, when the rules were decided it was just agreed it would be pretty anti climactic if the run ended by returning to map after collecting the last berry

That’s just the rules of the category, it was decided it would be pretty silly if the category just ended on collection of the last berry
It took me like 40 seconds to realize why you wernt going for the winged GOLDEN berry...
