I enjoyed 2 years living and working in Jersey in the 1980s. I recall a SA hall in St Helier however never visited, also, bands in the summer giving evening outdoor concerts in parks St Helier.
Friend, I don’t think at this time any of the percussion section were Ex-Guardsmen as I know some of them and I’m pretty sure they’re not but your right he is very loud
Absolutely great, of all the armies in the world the Saly army do more good than any of them. I would be honoured to march with this band, keep up the great work.
@@Steampunksaly /// The Salvation Army has some of the best music and some of the best musicians in the world. Yes there is joy in the SA. But not for you I guess.
@@k0smon Joy does not come from ‘pride in having the best music’ I have personal experience of this organisation and if you take time to peel back the veneer there is way more pain than joy to anyone in full time service with them.

Great band, just a shame they are connected to the sally army. Why are the 2 misery 'local' ministers in front, puts me off watching the video? Jersey doesn't need this propaganda rammed down its throat.
The reason they are in that band is because each member is a world class Salvationist musician, most being senior musical leaders in their own town & situation. An inspiring example to the people they lead. Speaking of inspiring examples, many people & families in need would go hungry, or still be in a desperate state were it not for The Salvation Army communicating, coordinating, & supporting a lot of major food banks & social support initiatives, especially in this current climate. A key foundation of the Army is Heart to God & Hand to Man. Faith in practise. Everybody needs a solid foundation in life.

@@Steampunksaly ///// You are just guessing, but probably somewhat correct. I was always impressed while in the army of the high percentage of the leadership that were consummate musicians.
One of the best brass bands in the world!

In jersey every year with the band I'm in. Wish I could see this lot in person!

Jersey needs the word of the Lord as much as anyone else. what a march of Witness well done the International Staff Band (based in London, England).
