I get it. At the end he was in the exact same seat as Martha. They really weren't so different. Both desperate to be seen and heard in a sea of faces that keep turning away.
This was insane. A lot of it was his own fault though. Martha is the pain in his life that won't go away, because he's so attached to his own trauma. This is emphasized when he goes back to Darrien in the end, even though there's nothing forcing him to do so. My grandfather used to say, "The cat likes the one who chokes it." and this movie is a perfect example.
Darien the screen writer should be charged as well with sexual assault- that part was left out which was significant to the movie and the character of Donnie. Another predator gets away with raping another victim it’s disgusting

These series was so good!❤ I didnt watch the previews so i didnt know what to exoect. I binged watched the whole series in 1 day. What i will say is by Martha suing Netflix a lot was revealed. This series kinda made you feel sorry for Martha, trust me the real Martha is a nut and what she emailed him in real life is very disturbing 😳 She definitely deserves so type of reprimand for what she actually did to him.

A small percentage of stalkers turn violent, but the problem is that it is not predictable which ones will and the condition therefore should be taken very seriously and not mistaken for actual affection. I do think they gave convincing background about WHY the bartender found her attention flattering by using his own (important) INSECURITIES and LOW SELF ESTEEM as motivation for that. And yet, since we live in a fantasy world of television, and because the actress is very talented…we can feel pity for the antagonist. But, remember, this is just a story. It leaves a lot to be discussed and explored though; it’s also realistically laid out overall.
Yet s judge said this wasnt based on true story when director himself played donny and todl his story but the real martha was changed but hey shes suing him which judge said oh it showed her character be way worse than what she actually done like wtf he said what happened wasnt shown all in the series the harrasment and sexaul abuse soem older person did and literally told his story with this stalker but some judge went nah cant be that bad wtf he saud himself he went police twice laughed at him 1 tiem second time was pissed saying hes harrasing them for complaining about being harrased
this is a really good series called "baby reindeer", worth watching. and piers morgan interviewed the woman it was based on who was denying how she was anything like that. the interview was so unhinged that it was rather obvious that she was actually exactly like the actress portraying her. _sent form myy ifoon_
