    Great insights into elevation scenes. I never noticed it but Vanga has an approach which can be read as a textbook even though it appears so unconventional and instinctive

    I'm one of those few guys who didn't realy like animal. not because of "misogyny" i couldn't care less about that. but i felt like he didn't deliver what he promised through the teaser and trailers, which is a dark drama between a father and a son. the drama between the dad and son was barely in the movie, it was the underlying theme, sure, but he never took it to the next level imo. he could have if he wanted to. it might be just me, but that is what i felt was promised in the trailers. the second half of the film was all over the place screenplay wise imo, and it was boring tbh. the thing that still does not make sense to me is why ranbir cheats on rashmika with tripti. why? what was the point? let me break down what i felt. okay so in the movie it was projected as a masterplan by ranbir. his plan was to make her fall in love with him so she would spill the secrets? seriously? there are two possibilities, either ranbir was lying just to look good, maybe he actually wanted to fck her and when she confessed he acted like he knew her plan all along. or sandeep reddy vanga actually thought it was a smart plan storywise to make zoya confess this way. if it's the latter, i'm dissappointed by the writing skills of srv, and this is heartbreaking because i know he can do better, this twist feels more like a balayya movie, it was cheap and outright bad. and if it's the first point, which is ranbir actually fell in love with zoya it's still a problem for me. why? why did he do that? wasn't he the same person who told his cousins to not cheat on their wives? i'm sure that scene was placed deliberately. didnt he promise rashmika that he will love her forever? plus when he does have sex with her that romantic song starts playing, what was srv trying to say there? if it was just a plan and not actually love, ranbir would have regretted having sex with her, but the music and treatment of the scene says otherwise. there are a few possibilities for this too. ranbir was on all sorts of medications, he was mentally unstable, which kinda justifies the bra strap scene too, so he had sex with tripti in that state of mind. or maybe as the story progressed he himself became more grey, and didnt care abt the same values which made him an anti hero instead of a villain. i was dissappointed by him man, no matter how many bad things a protagonist does u should be able to root for him, especially in mainstream movies where mass scenes are designed for the character. after he cheated on rashmika i could not root for ranbir's character anymore, wtever few redemption qualities he had were lost, and i couldn't root for him anymore. plus bobby's character was also wasted potential bro, the movie is filled with wasted potential. i also didn't understand why people were cheering when ranbir cheated on rashmika with zoya. i mean there are fools who cheer for anything but this just didn't make sense to me, that's the reason why i thought maybe i was the only one who didn't understand those things properly.

      First of all, hats off for sharing your thoughts, I love when people take out time to say that they truly feel, appreciate it.
      Secondly, there is nothing wrong in sharing what you felt about the movie, I didn't like the cheating aspect in the movie, that characterization didn't connect with me.
      And I want to highlight one of your points where the movie didn't have enough father son drama --- that is precisely what led to Vijay's actions. The only conversation (real conversation) he had was when he came to know his father is dying. Knowing Sandeep's style I knew it would be more emotional than dark...
      Love your enthusiasm bro, I would love to gain subscribers like you, who can critique movies and characterization so nicely.
      Thanks

    You know...? There is a Telugu movie, "Arjun" of Mahesh Babu with the title people easily understand that Mahesh Babu's name is arjun in the movie but no one calls him by the name in the film and finally at the end of the film Mahesh Babu reveals, you don't my name right, "Arjun"...! When it comes to commercial kinda experimentation telugu filmmakers are very rich.

    I have always found Vanga's writing to be superficial and mediocre. The noise and gimmicks overshadow everything, with drama that lacks depth and relies on cheap tricks. Vanga's films follow a simple formula: make it as creepy as possible, add flashy cuts, and flood it with verbal diarrhoea & above all the stars and colours . His fans then concoct meanings from the meaningless. Writing something creepy can create a new scene, but not a good scene.

    • @FilmyInfluencer
      @FilmyInfluencer  3 месяца назад +5

      The definition of "creepy" can mean many things and everyone is entitled to have an opinion.
      I for one found his movies very unconventional, which made my theater experience very enjoyable. I would take a 3 hrs 20 movie which doesn't bore me any day.
      Thanks for the comment.

      He is a brilliant editor, but mediocre writer and director. His characters might be good on paper but execution is forced and mid specially in the second half. Lot of unnecessary elements but some are very engaging due to his editing skills. He's a mediocre filmmaker. His next film will have same monotonous shit and pathetic storytelling techniques.

      @@macksequeira4233 "Same monotonous sh*t and pathetic storytelling techniques" --- I highly doubt that.
      In this current age, there is someone who can make you sit through a movie for 3 hrs and 20 mins, and not bore you... Nah, he is a Genius, and his next film will cement that further.
