OBD reviews - Five Stunt Evo Airflow Gloves

- It was time for some new summer gloves, the old ones had a few holes and there were a few more on the way.
This is me sharing with you my thoughts on what I had - Five Stunt Evo Airflow - and what I replaced them with.
Thanks for watching.
bought the TFX3 Airflow today together with a pair of Alpinestars summer loves (double the price). Will use the TFX3 just for very hot weather and if I am not too fast (tomorrow is a planned driving course - safety course plus corner training). Not expecting too much but hoping to have some proper ventilation as well as good feeling for the gas as these are feeling pretty thin.
So... 3 years on how did the gloves hold up?
Ummm, they are fine, but I haven't ridden much these last few years, maybe only 10k km - the pull tab is as good as new, there is no significant wear on the palms or fingers, but the stuff on the finger tips for using a screen rarely works (but do any of them?).
Thanks for watching
I like your review. Has made my decision harder though. Did the store have Five SF3, SF2 or the SF1's? Have you looked at the RevIT Dirt 3 or Sand 3's?
G'day Brendon - sorry about making it difficult. I may have tried the SF#, or was it the Stunt Evo (not Airflow) and the Dirt. The SF# fitted much the same as the Stunt Evo but offered more protection. The Dirt was a very solid glove.
Fortunately there weren't many choices and I wanted the ventilation & slider, so I bought the Airflow.
It's so easy to get caught up in little features, wondering how they would wear & protect, and marketing waffle - it did my head in for a while, and then it was just "bugga it, that'll do!"
@@oneblackdogrides So true. I have spent a lot of time looking at gloves. This afternoon I finally pulled the tigger on the SF1's.
I do think they were more then what I needed to pay for a good protective glove. They have 3 layers of protection, 2 leather with kevlar between. Cost $50 more then the stunt leather gloves (depending where you look)....
But once I actually start riding my bike, I may find that they are way to hot and look for a glove with more ventilation. Your right about the palm sliders, thats basically a must for a good protective glove from what I've been reading.
@@brendon8702 Did anybody ever say motorcycling was cheap??? Enjoy! Thanks for watching.
