I have a question.. can we check status of a batch job which was deleted by housekeeping job ? The job whose details I need that is deleted due to a clean-up. Can someone help me with this.

It's weird because some documents are picked by job and other I have to process them manually. How can I check what variant job uses and also what does the variant contain?

Try to check scheduled report individually and execute from se38 and check. In some of the standard report I have seen batch logic implemented .
