I never thought I'd say it but Oz has the edge over Moreno here, he's more interesting with a backbeat and the treble in his tone is more fitting for this style.
@@insidejazzguitar8112 It's Mike's choice not to elevate his sound with edgy drive and all that pedal mash up. After all, it's the underlying notes that count... He plays marvelously within his own usual spectrum of phrasing and approach just like Oz doing his usual thing which probably suits better the stylistically inclined ears. 🙏

Yes I thought the same thing, at least in this context. But it’s a tough matchup for Moreno because he has a much softer style than Oz
yeah this just isnt Moreno's bag feel-wise, like many from his generation
