NOTE: I messed up a lyric at 0:48 and 1:49. At 0:48, I put that PETER says "Asleep", but it's actually JASON. At 1:49, I put that JASON says, "Think that you could lend a hand here?" and PETER responds, "If I had the time", but it should be, PETER says "Think that you could lend a hand here?" and JASON responds "If I had the time". In the studio version, the line allocation sounded to me like what I originally put, but most actors/performances say it the opposite way. --- Peter, haunted by the thoughts of the previous opening number, which was a nightmare, prays emphatically in a traditional Catholic prayer before he is interrupted by the intrusion of his boyfriend, Jason. The two begin to flirt and try to merely walk down the halls together and be with one another, but fail to avoid conversations with many classmates, as Jason is very popular. Peter invites Jason to audition for the play with him but is turned down.
