    Thanks for this, was looking for a “no cables” solution to bring the bars just a tad closer on the ST. This is it!

  • @TomGlander

    Did the same on my LRST... the only difference was I added the 4 inch round gauge from the S version of the bike... replacing the digital only gauge. No extensions needed, except the wire for the new gauge is different, so had to order that. Feels better, looks better, all around worth doing.

      @@pauldenton9568 Hi Paul. Yes, I used the Thrashin mount and bracket. Used their can for the gauge. All Thrashin parts, except the Gooden-Tite bushings aren't Thrashin, of course. Overall I believe Thrashin makes a superior product in every aspect of design and implementation of that design.

    • @pauldenton9568
      @pauldenton9568  Год назад

      Not yet- spent money on rear suspension first. Since it will require new clutch and brake line, I was thinking I’d do the front suspension (cartridges and +2) and the high rise bars at the same time.

    @sweatyyeti1193 2 года назад +2

    How tall are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 6ft and a bit. Worried the 6.5 won’t be enough but at the same time don’t want to drop a shit ton of money on cables plus install for the pain in the ass dual disk brake and abs brake bleed.

    • @pauldenton9568
      @pauldenton9568  2 года назад +1

      I’m 5’10”. I would compare the 6.5 riser and stock bar to a 10” setup. If you swap to a higher bend bar might be more like 12”. This is the shortest riser I’ve had on a Harley in some time. My last FXR had the 9” Thrashin Pullbacks with their high rise bar, which was probably around 14”. A bit too tall for me on an FXR. The current setup on this softail in the video is better than stock, but I still think I’d be more comfortable with a couple of more inches in height. I am looking forward to adding the higher bend bar. I think it’s personal preference.

    Just had my Thrashin' 6.5" and Mid-bars installed. Wanted the high bars, but as you mentioned, no need to change the cables with the mid bar. I feel the same about the stock handlebars....almost a forward sweep with the hand placement.
